QuoteSupraGuy Sounds great, or would if I wouldn't need to get it shipped over the border. (I did find a Canadian supplier, but it's nearly $70/kg, almost triple the cost of PLA or ABS.) Well, sometimes paying a little more can give you great reward ;-) Here, in Europe, the price is about the same as other quality filament. Which is also about 70us$ for a kg.by RudydG - Printing
You should try Polymaker Polymax. Better than ABS, unless you need temperature resistance. Strength and flexibility at least as good or even better than ABS. And best of all, Pla is so easy to print. All my machine parts are printed with Polymax now, gone are the trouble days of Abs ;-)by RudydG - Printing
I tried a lot of solutions, and want to give my own opinion. First: Dual extrusion is not an easy thing. Pva printing is totally different from Pla printing (so don't even think about a single nozzle system for this application, i had the original diamond, only usable with materials really compatible) The only way to go, is 2 separate nozzle's, either 2 carriages or single carriage with a switchiby RudydG - Mechanics
There are 3 options (beside using 1 head, and the same material as support) -Hips, but there you need chemicals to remove it. -Pva, only tapwater to remove this material. -Polymaker's Polysupport. Easy to remove, but functionaly the same as using the same material, but with almost no traces. Ps, dual extrusion (what you need for there support options) is not easy, and requires quite a lot of pracby RudydG - Printing
Regarding ABS, i found a better product, with the same caracteristics as ABS, Polymax Pla, prints just like pla (easy, no warp, fast and beatiful prints) I use it on the creator, as well on the ultimaker. Only 1 downside, temps are like pla, this means the parts are not as well temperature resistent as the real abs. I use it for bigger and stronger machine parts. Really like the products from Polby RudydG - Mechanics
Another day with problems!! I can not get the extruders work like they should!!! always intermittent under-extrusion. Used the other extruder, every possible settings, removed all the panels to get a good airflow over the motherboard, i am at the end... Think i also killed one of the drivers of my steppers (right side)... As i use this machine at work, and working hours are not free (beside thatby RudydG - Mechanics
Hello, I used the Rumba in other printers. Not in the Creator. So i have no experience in connecting these 2. Just had another day of frustrations with the creator..... Underextrusion without any "reason" (ofcourse there is a reason, just can't find it) God, i hate this machine. Probably it will be put asside...... Because i also own a Ultimaker, i know how easy 3D printing can be......by RudydG - Mechanics
i have the same shitprinter, with all the same problems!! I bought this machine to print hassle-free (after building 5 printers myself) Now i have an ultimaker 2+, what a difference! No problems, unbelievable print quality. But, i still want to "repair" my Creator HS. In the past, is used several boards, the Rumba was the last i used, worked fine!! So, i read you use it in your transformation, bby RudydG - Mechanics
Jel111; The Ultimaker (2+) i have is a plug and play ready build printer. It has nothing to do with a prusa design. Your question is completely different from the topic content. Like said, start a new topic, with pics, to get an answer. Greetings and succes ;-)by RudydG - Plastic Extruder Working Group
I build several Prusa variants, with a wide range of hotends. Always with direct drives, i assumed the dd principle was better than the bowden. Now i use a Ultimaker with a bowden, man how wrong was i!! This lightweight head print much finer, with almost no artifacts due to moving mass, and i have no problems whatsoever with the retraction, once dialed in correctly (6.5mm 25mm/sec) If i would rebby RudydG - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Wondering when the final RC7 or next version will be available? Want to upgrade my system with the bltouch to get the mesh levelling, and also be able to use my graphic controller. Rudyby RudydG - Firmware - Marlin
Roxy, i think you are the expert ;-) What would i miss not having full control with the graphic display? If it is only needed for the non-reachable places with the probe, i don't care right now, because i can touch with the probe almost everywhere on the bed. Greetingsby RudydG - Firmware - Marlin
Somebody got this working? Having an uneven bed (30x30cm), i really like the new mesh bed leveling option. I have the BL-Touch probe, and am waiting to upgrade tot 1.1 RC7 to get thing right. My machine: Converted Cubex Trio: Rumba board Graphic display Simplify slicer I print 50% from from usb, 50% from sd Many thanks!by RudydG - Firmware - Marlin
