And yes I am using 115200bps

Have just tried the way you describe whit the newest firmware of teacup,
it did not work for me, maybe it is the version, or something i do wrong.
Maybe it can be the software i use to control the reprap, I use the ready to go version of Printrun for windows from March 2012, what do you use??
I am on a 64-bit system running windows 7.

I have bin looking though the g-code commands, and I cant find one there force the extruder to run.
Is that because no such command are?,
or do I have to use the G1 and then accept that it may move.

I am the happy owner of a Reprap Mendel, whit 3 gen. electronic.
I am using the Teacup firmware, and the Pronterface to send commands, almost everything is working.
But the Extruder stepper motor do not move,(have tested the motor and it works fine)
I have bin looking through the code for the extruder and it seams like there is missing commands in the main

I have done that and triple checked, it all match up.
Is there some where I need to tell it that I use a stepper motor.
I cant be 100% sure because I don't own an oscilloscope, but the STEP is not pulsing.
any Ideas?

Thanks it almost works.
I have chance my host software to printrun by Kliment (http://reprap.org/wiki/Printrun),
and that gave me temperature control and reading.
only the motor is not moving, it is at stepper motor.
Is there a problem using a stepper motor whit 3 gen electronics and teacup firmware.
I am using Allegro A3949 as driver chips as specified in the build.

thanks for the reply.
I did try to upload the firmware directly to the chip, so the size is the one of the firmware and not of the bootloader.
I have the TinyUSBisp form ladyada.net which I have used as programmer, dont know if this works or not?
Now I have treid to burned a bootloader I used this guide from this page:

thanks for the reply.
I dit as you said and used avrdude directly, I generated the .hex file whit ardruino 18 holding down the shift key while compiling, and fund it in windows temp, called extruder.cpp.hex.
And this is what happend:
c:\>avrdude -c usbtiny -p m168 -U flash:w:extruder.cpp.hex

I am having trouble whit burning the bootloader to my Extruder 2.2 board.
This is the error message i get:
avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x381a
0x51 != 0x00
avrdude: verification error; content mismatch
I am using this to upload whit:

I know that the USB driver is working because, I have use it for programming my motherboard and i am using it for controlling the reprap.
As to the Baud rate:
The uploading process i the same as it is for the FiveD firmware.
I have burned the bootloader by choosing the board:
Arduino Diecimila, Duemilanove, or Nano w/ ATmega168
and then burn bootloader w/ USBtinyISP.

I am having trouble whit uploading the firmware to my Extruder 2.2 board.
This is the error message i get:

I am in need of some help, I am working on a Mendel and it is begins to be a very long project.
The problem is with the “Extruder controller v2.2” board, when I try to program the chip, I get an error.
