Hi! Actually, I considered this option, but I ruled it out - as the Z axis homes correctly. Therefore, it goes down, not up. I am confused... This is with 5D firmware, but not Teacup. It is not compiling on the HEATER_EXTRUDER variable, and I have not looked at it further for now. what about you ?

actually, pronterface works fine with the 5D interpreter firmware. Provided that you set the baud rate to 19200 I mean, quite fine, on the X and Y axis, but the Z axis can go down, but not up. That is strange... I get a lot of blips and noise from the card, and vibration from the motor, but no movement up.

Hi Adam I think I am following your exact footsteps, one month later. I am now hurting my head on the problem of compiling TeaCup with the gen3 config.h, and getting the HEATER_EXTRUDER non defined variable error. Have you solved your problem, and if yes, how ? different config file, different software ? thanks,

Hi, So as a summary, you are using the 5D firmware, simply changing the baud rate in the software - I think I missed what host software you are using ? pronterface ? I have the same HEATER_EXTRUDER issue with gen3 config file...

Hi Adam, I am in a very similar situation to your. I made the decision to download the bundle X2SW that combines Slic3r and print I am quite sure that the firmware must be updated / changed, but I can't identify precisely which Gen3 elec-compatible firmware will work. Any idea ?

Thing is, my ABS seems to bond TOO WELL as well on perspex/PMMA. Can't unstick the little ABS drops ! -> is there a solvent for ABS and not for PMMA ?

Dear all, I'm struggling for a few weeks now with my Wade's extruder. It does not seem to extrude nearly enough plastic to print. At times, when testing it not printing, and when the stars were aligned (ie I can't really tell the difference in settings) it was extruding at a decent rate, but not for a long time. rhmorrison: neat, now my electronic works AND I feel I have improved the wiki :-) lunchtrayrider: like I said, the issue was that I needed a FTDI driver to have a COM port out of my USB plugs.

Gotcha ! I found a driver here that allowed by to convert a USB port to a virtual COM. The adress is below for the poor Windows users like me. It created a COM6 USB port as explained in the wiki and now everything is correct. I think some versions of windows don't come with that frontloaded. Now I'm wondering, I'd like to edit the wiki to explain that to other people, it's not possible ? Th

Holy cow, I found this And looking at my device controller, I have no USB device (COMx) in the Ports (PCT&COM) tree ! Only an ECP printer on LPT1. I suppose it's a driver issue ? Anyone has an idea ?

Dear oh dear, I think you're onto something, I went into the preference documentation and indeed the port name is for linux. Yet, changing to COM3 like you said or COM5 as in the documentation was no improvement, also /dev/ttyCOM3 failed (I know it's for LInux, I had nothing to lose ). Is there a place where this thing is explained, or is there a windows user around to explain the tweak? Tha
