i gave up on it
the more i assembled it in fusion short commings became clear, the mdf sheet needs rework to fit, the part cooling duct also need changes
its better to stick with the stock hotend

i found this one
problem is that it does not say how to hold the e3d in place
and the onshape link does not include a fan duct, i exported from onshape to step file so i could import it in fusion360
and the files on thingiverse have the fan duct and base combined so i longer longer can mill MDF and bolt on the duct
are there other know effectors for the e3dv6 ?

well i just like crimped connections, its better than soldered conections. But the crimps has to be done right
the bed has a terminal block almost like this one
but of course everyone is free to use parts like they want,
we cant agree on everything and we each have a taste for what we like

i hope i can get a few boards like they are now then
big screw terminals for the bed that accept a fork style crimp connector like these:
the remaining green connectors take an 1½mm² wire and i plan to use terminal tubes like these:
both require a crimp tool to work perfect, but i have found out over the years that it pays off in the end... you still get what you pay for

but yes, the psu has to have enough capacitance
the signal to the mcu can at a very rough pinch be done with a resistor divider. in my own case which is the ramps board from spain i plan to use either aux1 or 2
the bed and extruder can be connected via a relay or a power expander.... you sure get the idea.
the mains voltage part.... its common sense to play it safe. but there is no need to a

no it will also work at 12V
all it does it acting like a switch, when mains is present it makes creates a connnection and passes either 24V or 12V
what makes the einsy "special" is that the bed and extruder heater will be disconnected as soon the power panic signals that mains is gone.... its done at the hardware level
on top of that one of the pins on the mcu is also connected to this "line"

if nobody is making the board (other than prusa)
how much interest would there be in a board?

do slic3r have this option?
I have the mk42 bed and would like to have that as a background, if the PEI gets a dent or rips off its more easy to place the models in a good spot if i can relate to the squares on the bed

Hi
I'm trying to add support for Ramps on the mk3 branch of prusa firmware. I took the einsy pin file and modded it to match a ramps board, of course i also renamed my copy so it better descripe what it is
that is not the hardest part and of course my "mod" will also assume that 2130 drivers are fitted
but one thing i dont like much is how prusa "level" the x axis by driving Z up and just ramm

Firmware - mainstream and related support
btw @kabelfrikkler
are you good doing designs etc? if so what do you think about the current Ramps FD v2.3 design?
maybe we could take something from there or be inspired from it

and dont forget that we have a heatwave that makes any work 10 times harder :-D
i at least strugge with keeping up with things

actually i did some testing of the code for this part here:

yep and so does bugfix 2.0.x as i have been using for a while
:-D

much improvement for the nozzle but now i get positive spikes on unheated bed
will still call this a success

so far thanks very much for that link, i took 2 files from that PR mentioned and now everything is back to what it should be
will let test print run for 30 mins just to be sure

yeah, it was about the last thing left
will put wires and pins file back to what it should be and then have a look at that link

is it open source?
EDIT: you might want to translate the documentaion section to english :-D i picked documentation and then us flag and it was still in russian
it could be nice to the able to study the schematics also

3 hour print done, most strange thing is that when it did the last few top solid layers the graph became much more acceptable but not perfect
after dinner i will check if the connectors for the X and Y steppers are good
graph attached

RAMPS Electronics
hmmm.... could it be the poly fuse that is going bad?
EDIT: since my prints are in PLA i did a print without the bed heating, its not as bad but still "too much"
its an 3 hour print to will snap another graph at the end of print where heat has throughly evened out
and yes.... i have a 80mm fan blowing on the Ramps board
EDIT2: 40 mins left and not looking much better, new graph attached

just to make a fresh list here is what i have tried this to fix the issue:
PID tune
New wires for thermistor all the way from Ramps to Thermistor
New thermistor cartridge from
New heater cartridge also from
did i mention that i did a PID tune?
rechecked that all wires in screw therminal are secured in place and no wires are sticking out.
rechecked that all screws in screw terminals are tight

btw.... i plan to build a Ramps FD v.2.3, i was lucky enough that i got 2 arduino due from arduino.cc so they are not cheap knockoff's
i have allready compiled a BOM for it and wonder if i have picked good enough parts
so a small side track: if anyone have the knowledge please have a look at my BOM here
and best is to report back in this post:

its not cheapskating on my part as i picked an european and more pricy build board
but yes, bad contacts can make for noise too soo will look at it after breakfast
need to do some prints today anyway so i get time to test if its between thermistor and ramps or if its between ramps and mega
by

RAMPS Electronics
i have narrowed this one down further
tried new thermistor with complete new wiring to RAmps
tried another PSU
Tried another MEga board
logical conclusion and the only bit left not changed out is the Ramps board
it will have to make do as i just got 2 genuine Arduino Due and will build a Ramps FD v2.3
remember that Ramps FD is only unsafe if you got the first version that Geeetech spammed t

I downloaded the board files from here:
while they are not tested yet i want to take the plunge and build at least one board for my current printer
i have spent quite some time on getting a BOM together with mouser part numbers and prices
i have used gold plated pins etc where it was possible to lower the contact resistance which is the enemy here
for the big fets i picked one with as low

QuoteDiggrr
The soft copper strands deform into the ribs for whole contact, and the rigid crimps do not.
never thought of that, but it makes perfect sense

i think the perfect ones are these:
or maybe these:
