HI all,
I am writing a custom processing sketch to control the reprap motherboard with the mendel firmware on it . Could somebody please tell me whether the serial communication is ascii or is it unicode and where i can read up more about this.

Hi,
i have found one more problem. the reprap motherboard i have seems to behave strangely. the green power led glows only when the reprap firmware is on the board with any other sanguino code like a blinky or something the power led does not come on. i am really not able to figure this out from the schematics. i am just using a normal atx supply

Hi all,
i am trying to build a custom host software for the reprap motherboard with firmware version 1.6. Could somebody please point me to the exact communication protocol for the reprap. i know the host software sends the gcode to the motherboard but i am not sure of what the reprap sends back as confirmation for the line of gcode received. i am also not sure of what format the gcode is sent

This is an instruction given in the sanguino page for using it with osx. but in the zip i downloaded there was no such libraries folder
"Copy all the folders in sanguino-software-1.x/libraries/ to arduino-0012/hardware/libraries/ overwriting the existing libraries."
I am guessing that may be the problem. although i burnt a simple code just to keep sending something over the serial port and i d

I am using arduino 0018....i have tried burning some other code as in trying to blink the debug led (pin 1 on sanguino). The code gets loaded into the board but nothing happens.

Hi,
I am trying to burn the Reprap firmware onto the motherboard from Arduino on OSX and there is an error during compiling 'Serial1' not declared in this scope . I have tried reinstalling the Sanguino folders into Arduino but it is of no use. Please help.
