RepRap Host
I was hoping not to do this, but seeing as i've had no response, i'm guessing nobody knows.
I am going to modify my prop plug, again, to work with the BasicX24, as well as the Default mode, by use of a slide switch
The 10nF capacitor in series to the base of the transistor
and
The 150Ohm in series to the !Reset (! means NOT)
The common line to both for the switch will go to the pad of the capaci

Thanks, I found the solution.
BTW it works fine in Win7
The solution for XP, 32bit version, is to right click the application, and run as NT 4.0.
I'm assuming cause I can't remember anymore if XP is NT4.0 or not
This is still a serious problem, if or when it gets fix, this is the work around I believe

Second question, i'd like to ask is,
Has anyone here used a Parallax Propeller plug, modified to work for the zBasic and BasicX24 micro controllers, works ok for the Arduino/Sanguino?
Edit: The mod is

The story goes like this, I built up the motherboard, figured out how to download the bootloader into the 644P with the USBTiny programmer.
I could've only have done that by moving the Java directory somewhere else, because if I don't, when I quit the environment IDE, a breif view of a blue screen poops up and my system reboots, so I can't test to see if I can download the software with the USBTi

well i'll see how it goes with one, as I can't add any more belts or motors into either scanner.
However my tests over this weekend have showed that there is ample torque to carry the extruder and stepper for it. Been driving it all day at full step, which is showing plenty of accuracy (its geared down).
This is a RepStrap after all, a prototype of sorts, just trying to reduce costs as well, s

I'm only using one for the x axis, and one for Y axis.
I'm sorry, I don't quite understand where you're coming from for needing two drive trains for the Y axis.
I'm going on the premise that I can offset motor speeds by the host software as getting two identical old scanners is nigh on impossible.

Just a follow up, I had the same thing happen to me today when playing with the hacked scanners I have, I found that by tweaking the current down to a low level without losing steps or torque made a huge difference, ie my motors were running so hot that they were beyond touch, now they are lovely and cool, and no noticeable loss in torque

Controllers
Servos are a good choice, especially those with quadrature encoders, just wire an encoder pin to the brake of the servo controller, then all ou have to do is send out streams of pulses to the motor and to the brake to get an instant stepper motor of sorts.
Biggest problem though is torque, servo motors have massive differences in torque, and its something to look at.

Yep, I could get the X and Y stage ok with Lego, but it flexes too much.
Z axis is impossible with the limited bricks that I have.
Right now the scanners are what i'm working on. I have two different scanners, the first i've already hacked and driven successfully, i'll be hacking the scanner soon.
Do they really have to be matched? Isn't there like a speed offset in the host software to compe

I know you have probably talked about this a bit, but i'd like to know what compounds you guy have found to be decent enough to be used as support material and soluble enough that is environmentally friendly?
I browsed onto this that sounds ideal.
Its a thermoplastic that sounds like it can be extruded like any other, plus its water soluble.
This is just one method, what are others?

Plastic Extruder Working Group
The most important thing now is to have a multi head system that can change heads on the fly.
Well 3 heads really, plastic/support/plot-pen.
I've got ideas on how to do this, but I don't have a 3D printer yet to try those ideas out.
For colouring, I had ideas of 4 interchangeable heads, sort of how a plotter may work, 1 for each colour as you have in your printer now, Black, Blue, Yellow, Red.

You mean this one?

In the item that I was watching they had also referenced repRap an Fab@Home, over a year a go, thats how I knew about RepRap being here

I've asked my mates at NextWindow to see if they have any lying around, I checked at my workplace, but we don't have any either of 15mm PTFE/ceramic solid rods, will let ya know.
That's cool about not this Friday, i've still gotta try out thsee stepper motors in these scanners (they didn't come with power supplies).
The first scanner used a weird stepper driver, which isn't compatible with the S

I bought some polymorh from Jaycar today, while I was at lunch (the shop is just a short 10 minute walk away), heated some a few pellets, which turned nicely transparent, and was not hot to touch, and fun to play with.
To play with I put a small 0402 (smaller than a quarter the size of a grain of rice) sized LED into the lump of polymorh, let it cool and plugged it into the power supply (2.5V @ 0

Ok, thats blown that idea out the window, I had estimated between 1 and 1.5 hours, assuming using Adrian's acceleration code.
How about just a demo of a mini mug?
I assume you also are using the version 2 extruder.
I'd like to make that extruder assy. While I can probably make the nozzle and thermal barrier ok, the 3 parts for holding down the PCB, the base and the drive block are out my ab

Will let ya know, depending on how well I go with this RepStrap out of old scanners go.
Though i'll still be needing a set of RepRapped parts for the Extruder V2 in the next few weeks.
If/when come over to the RoboNz group on a Friday, could you print those parts for me there, or would that possibly take too long?

Thanks, but that wasn't what I was after
I think I found it once before, so I hunted through my history list and found a model from Bath Uni, downside is its in VRML format
This I think is the best closeup we can get.

Sourcing locally or nation wide is the only way to expedite delivery of what your after.
Did a quick search on Google
I have no idea if they have what your after, so you'll need to call them.

In the video on the front page
It shows a 3D model of completed Mendel RepRap, where can I find the complete 3D model of it, please?
I'm using it as a basis for my RepStrap, using hopefully a couple of old computer flatbed scanners.
Thanks

Kintel has kindly fixed the error on SVN, apparently there was a conflict with two files with the same filename, but slightly different.
The difference was because of one file named as CSGEvaluator and another CSGEValuator, by having the "v" in uppercase, tortoise SVN (which I use) threw out errors.
Thanks

I'm doing slightly better, I sent off for a few boards, which were shipped several days later - thank goodness for tracking.
It got missent to someone in the US (how did they not notice the NEW ZEALAND part?),
now its somewhere between the international desptach office and in transit - the tracking info isn't very good
So from June 6th till now, i'm still waiting

FYI
I tried downloading, several times, from the subversion repository, after I finally found the SVN links, and with using Tortoise SVN, it reports that
is locked and unversioned as well as the files with in it, now the whole directory structure cannot be fixed and refuses to update any further or clean up.
The link I am using to checkout the repository is
Any ideas on how I can fix it?

Just would like to make a small request.
Rather than having AoI files for download, could you possibly use the wavefront .obj format?
Reason being that wavefront .obj is a more standardized format which can be imported into many 3D modellers, including Blender which I like to use. AoI can import this format as well very easily.

I know the original Java host is there, but i'm looking at this new Skienforge thing that is totally python based, my opinion is that python is slow to do 3D rendering (ie print preview) as it is in Skeinforge, its better off inside Blender with only modifying it to meld it to Blenders' API.
I too have tried numerous other programs, and found Blender to be the most "natural" to work with, some o
