Um excuse me, just looked at their tutorial for making an hour glass, and AoI seems to need more steps than Blender does to do the same thing.
Eg, in Blender, you want to scale something press the "S" key
to constrain the scaling to an axis, eg x axis you'd press "S" followed by "X" keys.
What can be even more simple?
Blender is, believe it or not, turning heads at Hollywood, as it was once so

At work I often do soldering of SMT with a temperature controlled iron, regular 60/40 5 core flux solder wire, and a syringe of flux.
So as long as your temperature is low enough, like 300 degrees, this will be fine for soldering most SMT parts, however when soldering to a ground plane (even if it has thermal relief), I am often forced to turn the heat up, sometimes up to 350 degrees centigrade.

Do you you know much about the scanner part of it?
Estimating how the one at home works (printer/scanner), it sounds like its running off a stepper.
I finally found some decent torquey steppers, Linear Engineering's are no whre strong enough, off the shelf that is, but Keiling's look ok, and are fairly cheap enough to import. Trying to save money where I can, so if the motor in the scanner part

Hello everyone,
I've spent a few days playing around with my old lego mindstorms sets, I have 2 X RIS 1.0 and 2.0 sets, and all the expansion sets, I don't have the NXT, as i've kinda grown out of lego now.
In any case, i've found that lego is a bad choice for anyone doing a RepSrap, for three reasons,
1) Cannot span an axis overhead, as the plastic flexes too much
2) Difficulty with interfacin

I'm involved with another group, where the coders have made an unbelievable plugin for blender to create levels for a video game.
Now I looked briefly at the Skeinforge program, and I wondered why they chose to try and do rendering with a python engine, I don't think it would be too difficult to port that to blender.
Only real problem is to address with blender to a usb port to send the g code.
