I've just finished initial calibration of the printer and ready to continue with melting plastic.
Now I have more generic questions because I'm warring about hot-end jams (maybe I can read that topics somewhere?):
- How to do very first print? Just push filament to the nozzle and kick print button in Pronterface? Or the nozzle should be preheated before inserting the plastic?
- How to retract t

IIRC, in particular it's much thinner?
The thickness is generally the same (the plastic one is even a bit thicker). Because they both should match the mounting slot at the hot-end.

But sintron kit doesn't have this part, does it?
Sintron kit does have this part. It's slightly different in shape because it incorporates fan mount. But it still recognizable from the picture above. Here it is:

I was sick of my probe binding and not working properly, so made a piece of metal like this, with a piece of teflon tube inside it:
It gets attached to the effector like this:
It works quite well, no more binding, the guide really helps to keep the allen key where it should be.
Actually, z-probe allen key should go through opposite hole in hot-end mount. I.e, in aluminum moun

Fuf... Soldering the heatbed is real pain. I do not have a powerful soldering station or whatever, just small regular soldering iron. And even on full power it sticks to pads, so good aluminum table goes heat away. But I did a trick: I soldered wires somehow, and then powered heatbed for a couple minutes, so it heated itself. Then I re-soldered wires. It's much easier to get semi-good joints if h

BTW, Here is the correct LCD wiring. Because there are 2 identical cables and therefore you can connect them in 2 ways. On adapter board the sockets are labeled, but I could not found any labels on LCD board.

#define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {100, 100, 100, 95}
AFAIR, in our config should be specified 80 steps per mm for XYZ due to 20 teeth pulleys we have. 100 is for 16 teeth pulleys. You can check it in calculator.
Meanwhile I have a question - what the correct voltage reference should be set on drivers for out steppers?

Max and min endstops.
...
If you have the liner rails. You put the other endstop mounts on the bottom. Kinda stops the part from sliding compeltey off the rail if something was to break. But as said there not really needed.
I also got 6 endstops. But, actually, there are not enough pins to connect all of them. Because "Z-min" pins are already occupied by autolevel probe.
And even in c

From RAMPS schematics:
I connected "red" wire to VCC, "black" to GND and "yellow" one to signal pin. But I'm not sure that red wire is actually VCC connection on end-stop itself. And the same regarding yellow wire.

I can't understand what is correct connection of stop-ends? Is it wired properly on the picture below? Or yellow and red wires must be swapped (on RAMPS)?

So I drilled the heatsink and pushfit connector open to 4.2mm and pushed the Bowden PTFE tube right down to the throat of the heat barrier.
In my case PTFE tube goes through heatsink down to contact heat barrier by design, even if heat barrier is not screwed enough.
Ok, I will try the hot-end as is. If there will be issues, I will replace the hot barrier.

You could replace the heatbarrier with one that has a PTFE inliner.
I thought that types of heat barriers (with teflon tube inside) is primarily for direct-drive extruder.
Anyway, I've got a caliper and made some measurements of my hot-end.
The hole inside of heatsink is 19mm in deep. But heatbarrier goes only to 16.5mm inside. Even if the hole will be full threaded it still n

Just received mine. The packing was a bit different (there was no dedicated carton-box for electronics), but from the first look nothing was damaged.
But my hot-end differs from pictures on 1st page.
And I see a possible problem with my hot-end - I can't turn the heat-sink closer to the heater part (you can see big gap with free threads on pictures). It looks like the heat-sink has not en

Hm... I ordered (still in transit) Sintron's kit from Aliexpress for $315. And just found this thread. It will my first experience with assembling of 3D printers and I should prepare to have a deal with all these issues, as I read. That's a pity. But for this price...
As for belt clips, I asked the seller also:
