Hi OzzieEngineer, did you get it working yet? I have connected my printer to ubuntu and got it working, right now my printer is running off RAMPS connected to a raspberry pi running Octoprint. It's awesome. What electronics is on your reprap? Does it enumerate in Ubuntu?

Just wanted to know if people are interested in buying PETG filament ESun brand. It would be $55 per kg plus shipping. Either 1.75mm or 3mm. This stuff is a very nice filament, has all the best properties of ABS like strength, not brittle and the best properties of PLA like no warping, little shrinkage, non toxic. It also has the wet look straight off the printer. Their is 5 colours available na

In configuration.h did you follow the below? Particularly the REMEMBER TO INSTALL part
// The RepRapDiscount FULL GRAPHIC Smart Controller (quadratic white PC
//
//
// ==> REMEMBER TO INSTALL U8glib to your ARDUINO library folder: http://code.google.com/p/u8glib/wiki/u8glib

Firmware - mainstream and related support
Looks like all the heavy lifting is done. Mainly electronics to complete, if you could provide a more detailed pic of the parts left to install I could better estimate time left to complete. The big question is more how much are you willing to spend. Looks like it might be about a week end of tinkering to finish it off and do some basic tuning. PM me if you would like to discuss further. I am in

Looking good, the prusa style is definately the one for beginners, its the one I would continue to pursue. If you need to print anything I can help you out.

I would try to be there, as long as it is not too far, I have 2 printers, would only bring 1, and I am in the process of designing my own printer.

I am still keen to do something maybe once a month.
Was a member of the hackerspace but can't attend anymore and want to focus more on 3d printers anyway.

QuoteDirty SteveWith such easy delamination, it would either be the flow rate is too low, or your print speeds are too high.
Flow rate is fine. Print speeds are very high, but that is nothing new. The old sainsmart ABS was great at any speed.
Quotecrispy1There is excess moisture in the plastic. You can tell from the bubbles/imperfections in the printed part. Your weak layer ad

If you are a thrifty kind of person then you can build a prusa i2 pretty cheaply. just need to know where to find the parts, like if you have the space and transportation you could buy old office photocopiers on gumtree for about $5 and tear them down to get lots of useful parts.

Hi,
I have finally used up my 25m purple sample from lybina, I printed some squirrels and then did the acetone vapour trick. It worked out really well, good quality filament.

Why not home then heat them together, in most cases the home position would be resting the nozzle on the bed in the bottom left corner.

Why not instead have the fan turn on a certain amount of seconds before the bridge?

I think I solved it.
It was the slow down if layer time is below "x" time, I had it set to 30 sec and now it is 10 sec, new slic3r print duration print estimate 4hr31min.
