We are hacking a lot R2C2 and we will add Wifi to it using IMX233 Linux board. We have already a prototype and we may produce and sell it later. If anyone wants to go ahead and test, it is just only 4 wires from Olinuxino-micro and R2C2 expansion header:

Hello Albert.
Thank you to be with us. We hope to start selling the new batch in 2 days (next Thursday). There are more users waiting for them and discussing on R2C2 support grou

You are correct. There is a delay on production due to August holidays here in Portugal. We plan to have the boards ready to sell on the 1 or 2 weeks of August.
But there is a some good news waiting for this new batch ;-)
We are working on a Wifi shield for R2C2 (using Linux cheap board) and right now I can send and receive commands using a terminal. We are working to adapt ReplicatorG_R2C2 for

Yes, I can see true round circles on SFACT!! Skeinforge have that option for infill since a few versions ago! did you missed it? :-)

We believe actual firmware can do at least 2000mm

I don't know... but I believe high speed printing is mainly for high quality prints, where quantity of plastic extruded is very small... so, extruder may be able to be ok. Like using 1.7mm instead of 3mm, for example.

R2C2 running RepRap Mendel at his maximum speed 725mm/s
Bobc optimized even more the firmware and the theoretical maximum speed is about 2080mm/s!
We tried to achieve the higher possible velocity with our RepRap Mendel before it started to missing steeps and it turns out to be 725mm/s!! The maximum acceleration were 3925mm/s^2.

Modularity have it's own advantages, mainly for development. Looking at past, looks like Arduino was more a choice for development than for final product.

That's exactly what I wouldn't want to do. Look to R2C2 RepRap electronics kit:

We finally have the boards available, this time for developers and beta testers. I updated the original message with the regarding information.
You can simple go here http://www.3dprinting-r2c2.com/ and read about it.
Thank you.

We hope to soon have the pre-order, maybe in 2 or 3 weeks. We don't have the price until we have produced boards, please wait a bit more.
Thanks.

Hello.
Yes, see project site:
And we are running the RepRap Mendel @ 200mm/s... we will post a video soon.
Thank you.

Hello.
Thank you for sharing ;-)
Well, after a few days, I got the "config.txt" file working, and here it is:
I am using this code to read each line:
uint16_t read_u16 (FIL *file, uint8_t *line)
{
f_gets(line, 80, file); /* read one line */
uint8_t *p_pos = strchr(line, '='); /* find the '=' position */
return (atoi(p_pos+1));
}

Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Board design is being finished. In 2 weeks I should have on my hands the first boards to test. I will post here on that time, pictures and more technical details.
We are taking a good deal of time to make a robust and high quality board. I believe the board will also be used for making laser engraver/cutter, delta robots, etc.
Thanks.

Oh men, just now I saw that info on Mendel first page:
I didn't know that. Seems that the laser cutting line are of 0.2mm...
Time to go for CNC and forget RepRap for this task.

I am talking/following Leonardo working on testing blue laser of 1W -- he found that his RepRap Mendel don't have the needed precision/mechanical quality for laser etch PCBs
Now I need to go and test with my CNC, since my Reprap Mendel have just the same problems as the Leonardo RepRap Mendel.
Read here the blog message with the tests:

And Leonard, as me, don't have any solution, but a printer which prints bad quality parts. Look at the iterations he did and the best result:
And now after a day of tests I present all my tests results and an acceptable end result (nº 15).
