This is some good info to go up to the wiki pages of ABS and PLA :-)

LPC1343 may not have enough IO, right? and also flash memory for code. What is your opinion?
If is to go with LPC1343, then I would prefer to go with cheap Olimex $13

I think we should first discuss what we need from moving the actual 2 arduino boards (main + extruder) to any other system. At the same time I think we should maintain a wiki page with that reasons.
One point I think is needed to get better is the price, electronics are expensive and difficult to source. I am not sure we need 2 different boards, the main and the extruder, one would be cheaper. S

I forgot that. My idea is to find a cheap one.
But PWM is just used for extruder heater, no? -- and I think PWM frequency for extruder heater can be of slow frequency... and if

I would also prefer ARM but right now I am building my RepRap so I don't know if I have free time to help.
I am being looking for cheap ARM boards and this one looks good (25€):

Today morning I had another Mendel frame vertex to remove from the Heated Bed. I leave the piece and Heated Bed cooling all the night.
In the morning it was impossible to remove it and so did it again using hot blow air, using the hair dryer. After 20 seconds a sound like "cracking" happen and the piece released itself :-)
I will write this info on the wiki page. I guess that if I use cold blow

Nice!
I am waiting now for some demonstrations... could you also please record some videos?
Do you have any other blog, page, about any other hackings? like more info about that "MySmartControl168"? (I love to see others works :-) )

Cold/hot air blow to help remove the printed piece
Yesterday I let a piece cooling on Heated Bed. This morning it was impossible to remove. Then I remember to try quick hot it with blowing air, using hairdryer. It quickly almost jumped alone from Heated Bed :-)
Also I already did the contrary, blowing cold air from my mouth when the Heated Bed was hot. It worked for small pieces.

Arduino Mega is to much expensive. If money was not a problem, then we could use many of it, but we know that electronics of RepRap is an expensive part of the total.

But I see people using Arduino Mega that costs $65. I think that is because people is looking for more flash/ram for more complex applications.
If instead we go to ARM, we get the same for less money PLUS a debugger, which is a must for the complex applications. This is my opinion.
And at RepRap project, many users don't touc

This is a question. I would like to add a link to NopHead blog message about his Mendel build, because he shares a lot of details of Mendel build.
If add this link is a good idea, I would like to know were to add it. At end of the Manual? at begin? were?
I think is best to use links on wiki page and not try to copy the information to there, simply because we can't, it's a lot of information!

Come on, you know that anyone is doing debug on Arduino because of lack of cheap and Free/Open hardware debug tools!

And at the same time, Makerbot as just the only source for electronics was a BIG problem for RepRap in general, so I think any new "players" on market is good for RepRap users. I mean, the work o
