Quoterepetier You can try #if 1 || defined(__AVR_ATmega1280__) || defined(__AVR_ATmega2560__) || defined(__AVR_AT90USB646__) || defined(__AVR_AT90USB1286__) || defined(__AVR_ATmega128__) ||defined(__AVR_ATmega1281__)||defined(__AVR_ATmega2561__) a but further in HAL.cpp where the cpus are tested. With some luck your cpu also has timer 3 whcih is used for servos, but I think it stops at timer2.by davejones - Repetier
Compile error after enabling servo control. HAL.cpp:584:2: error: #error No servo support for your board, please diable FEATURE_SERVO Can this be fixed or will I have to change board or FW?. Board is Sanguinololu 1.3a with ATMEGA1284 and FW is 0.91. Intend to use pin 27 for servo. Cheers, Daveby davejones - Repetier
Thanks pypy unchecked and SFACT is now slicing ok.by davejones - Skeinforge
Been using an early version of SFACT for a long while now so thought I'd upgrade to the latest version. Latest versiion won't slice but tells me the file penultimate.gcode does not exist. Any help appreciated.by davejones - Skeinforge

Eric. If you are using Repetier Host and the Repetier firmware then it is possible that you have the Repetier OPS (ooze prevention system) activated. If you have repetier OPS activated and you also have retraction activated in your Slicer - you will get some very strange retraction results. To check - in Repetier Host, 'Config' then 'Firmware EEPROM configuration'. Scroll down and look for 'OPby davejones - Slic3r
Check that you have retraction disabled in either Repetier Host/Firmware or Slic3r. Your problem may be that you have both Repetier Host/Firmware and Slic3r set for retraction. You should use only one or the other - not both.by davejones - Slic3r
Try your local sign-writer. I purchased an offcut from a local sign-writer business. $10 gave me enough for 4 printers.by davejones - Reprappers

Probably is the humidity. I only have problems with PLA adhesion once the relative humidity gets to about 75% and above. Then it becomes a real hit and miss affair. I'm in sunny (very wet this time of year), Queensland, Australia.by davejones - Printing

Yes to the Z axis motor question. For fans (on all the time) I use the 12v and Gnd that are between each of the axis outputs. There is one just under your written 'Z'.by davejones - Sanguino(lolu)
I really want to try this latest version of your host as your previous version was excellent. I just can't figure out how to install this latest version.by davejones - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Hi Awesome work. I've been playing around with your firmware and have found that changing the MAX_FEEDATE for the Z axis does not have any affect (Only tried Z as this is the axis I have problems with skipping steps at higher speeds). Also tried reduding the acceleration settings for Z - didn't help. Tried MAX_ZJERK 0 - just experimenting but didn't make any difference. Not even sure if ZJERby davejones - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
Could return it but with shipping costs and time, it's probably not worth the effort compared to what the reader is worth. Besides, I'm not sure if the board is faulty or if there is some sort of comptibility issue with the Adafruit board, Sanguinololu 1.2 and Sprinter.by davejones - Sanguino(lolu)
Replaced the Adafruit reader with a Gravitech one and it works fine.by davejones - Sanguino(lolu)
Before you change the speed, have a look in the Sprinter configuration.h under // Disables axis when it's not being used and make sure that all the axis are set to false.by davejones - General
Tried all the above suggestions but got the same result. Tried it on a v13a board (I'm building another printer) but still nothing. Have ordered the Gravitech reader and I'll see how that goes when it gets here.by davejones - Sanguino(lolu)
I print using PLA onto bare tempered glass. Glass surface temperature 60c. Initially cleaned glass with dishwasher detergent then methylated spirits now I just use meths between prints. The only times I've had warping or adhesion problems is if I don't clean the glass (with meths) for several prints. I once accidently cleaned the glass with automotive wax and grease remover (same style bottle buby davejones - General

The grubscrews screw in far enough to be below the belt teeth although they are a pain to re-tighten (if they become loose) as they are under the belt.by davejones - Australia, Melbourne RUG
The auxsmods belt is a little bit stiffer than a steel corded belt that I got from ebay but it works ok. I haven't tried it on 8 tooth pulleys though.by davejones - Australia, Melbourne RUG
Update. Couldn't get mosfets to work - probably due more to me being an electronics basket case than anything else. Ended up using one of these mosfet based solid state relays SSR. Bit of an overkill and normally expensive but I found one at a flea market. Works fine.by davejones - Controllers
Schulz. The ones you've linked to have the wrong bore size. I've fitted the same ones as Myndale plus used their belt as well. ausxmods Pulley ausxmods belt As suggested, had to change my x and y steps-per-mm from 80 to 64.
