I ordered the gen 6 electronics over 2 months ago and I am still waiting. This was order 814, I even mailed with James to confirm everything I wanted was gonna be shipped as the electronic from order 814 was combined with order 807. When the box arrived only items from order 807 where in there together with the invoice of order 814 but none of the items. My Mendel is completely finished but withby DeLaVega - General
Hi guys, Well I have a functioning Mendel but I still can't print properly. The print just doesn't stick to the surface, what are you guys using? I tried MDF and plexiglass (acrylic). I need a long term solution that isn't a heated bed. I'm using ABS. Thanksby DeLaVega - General Mendel Topics
Thanks, I suspected that something like that would be possible. But I'd like to keep that for when there's really no other possibility. I'm using stepper motors from makerbot and left the connector on the way the supplied it, I also left the connector on the Stepper driver board so it was just plug and play. Is there really no other solution?by DeLaVega - Reprappers
Hello, I just finished building my Mendel and have a problem with the axes. Z axis is fine but when I 'Home' X or Y they move in the opposite direction of the endstop causing it to crash. I suspect a software problem but don't see any options in the reprap host software to inverse the X and Y movement. I'm using the 5D firmware and gen 3 electronics. Thanks, Diegoby DeLaVega - Reprappers
Everything worked fine with the 5D firmware, but now I don't even get a response in the debugging window.by DeLaVega - RepRap Host
ok, I uploaded the gen3 firmware but now i don't get any response from the motherboard. I tried reprap-mendel-20091106 and reprap-host-windows-20090613. Is this normal or did I do something wrong? Thanks, DeLaVegaby DeLaVega - RepRap Host
I'm using gen3 electronics from makerbot and got the firmware from the RepRap Subversion repository. I'm using the latest version from that page.by DeLaVega - RepRap Host
Hello, I'm building a Mendel for school (thesis) and I'm going to use a mk4 plastruder from makerbot. Now my problem is that its a DC motor while the reprap firmware expects a stepper motor. Could anyone help me with modifying the firmware so it'll work? I already looked at the configuration.h file but there is no option for it. Thanks, DeLaVegaby DeLaVega - RepRap Host
