Just tried to flash with new Cura driver same problem. It must be a com port issue with Windows 10 everything flashed fine with same Marlin build on windows 7. I guess we will have to wait for a new build of Windows 10 for a fix.by skew - General
+1 on Cura. I switched about a month ago and my i3 prints look almost flawless now. No more weird random imperfections on side walls. Plus the slicing speed is instant and being able to view your stl and placing position on the bed is a bonus.by skew - General Mendel Topics
Here is my starting gcode M106 S110 M104 S160 M190 S110 M104 S230 G28 G29 M109 S230 G92 E0 My Z levels fine after autolevel. I can lower the Z to 0.00 and move X from left to right and my hotend drags the same on a piece of paper the same on both sides and the Z changes as the X moves. If you watch Alex's video his home is on the Max X&Y and ours is on the Min X&Y I don't know if the auby skew - General Mendel Topics
I attached my Config.h And I also made a video showing the sequence of operation. When I get home I will post my starting Gcode Basically is like this set hot end to 160c (keep it low so it doesnt ooze abs out while waiting for bed heat up) bed set to 110c wait till bed gets to temp set hot end to 230c (hot end will start heating up to operating temp while autolevel is working) Auto home Autoby skew - General Mendel Topics
gibleteousjack, Try lowering your Z #define DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE {150, 150, 10, 20} from 10 to something like 2-3 and see if it will home without jamming your Z steppers on home. My i3 will only handle 3 on the z feed any faster it will stall the Z steppers. Your autohome must work correctly before you the bed level. Then you have to play with the probe offsets. Update, New autobed level firmware is working great! prints are better than they ever have been since having my i3 for over a year. Also I started using the new CURA slicing speed is unreal. I have a twelve pro frame I3 close 1st cousin to the makerfarm. The makerfarm looks like a great kit if it was for sale when I built mine I would have looked at it really hard. I have made all kinds of quad parts on mine from frames to retractable landing gear. Here some pics from my last print. Prusa i3 Yodaby skew - General Mendel Topics
James123, I'm having the reverse problem lol. Auto home works perfect but when I g29 it will probe all 3 spots fine but My Z axis reverses. When I try to move my Z it will not go up anymore it moves down into the bed it thinks its going up because the counter is going +. If I only auto home the Z axis works like its suppose to but after I run m29 its reversed? Anybody got any ideas? edit I re-doby skew - General Mendel Topics
It would probably be safe to change the bigger one to a 15amp replaceable fuse. The stock is 11amp and the mkII draws really close to that on heatup I would try a fan first just to see if thats the real problem it if it is then replacing the fuse should fix it.by skew - Printing
Could be your thermal fuse the big flat orange looking thing standing up on your ramps. It basically a self resetting circuit breaker if you pull to many amps it gets hot and trips. Mine would trip when I would first try to heat the bed after I put a fan on my ramps it has not kicked out since.by skew - Printing
You will still have to make some kinda bracket so the nozzle will be lower than the x carriage that's the issue I ran into. I built the twelve pro frame also I am really happy with everything. I would like a better extruder mount mine looks rigged up but it is work fine.by skew - General Mendel Topics
I just built my I3 last week from lazer cut frame. I used Qu-BD extruder but replaced the gear with mk8 and replaced the feed parts. It works really nice now. I had to make a new mount from a piece of angle channel because using the universal mount for the I3 puts the extruder in the middle and the hot end on the QU-BD is very short so I had to fix it to hang below the bottom slide rail. I'm building my first reprap. I haven't decided what frame to build (leaning toward Prusa I3), I just purchased the ultimate ramps combo for my electronics. I hooked everything up on the bench compiled latest Marlin firmware. Everything looks like its working fine. The only thing I can't figure out what it is on the lcd screen on the main menu page there is a FR 100 and you can turn the pot and iby skew - RAMPS Electronics
