Thanks Alex, I figured that out indeed after a few minutes of testing. I didn't realize the servo would be used for the min endstop with G28. Hopefully, it will raise Z before extending the servo arm (I know it does in G29, but can't remember if it did it for G28 as well). I'm having a lot of trouble though securing the arm to the servo, it keeps being lose, so I'm printing a lot of arms with difby kakaroto - General Mendel Topics
QuoteJohnSL This thread is very cool. I'm wondering, has anyone hooked a servo up to a Rambo board? Looking at the Wiki information, I'm guessing I would need to hook it up to pin 1, which is connected to the PWMExt pin holes in the PCB. Is this correct? Also, for the 5V supply, is the pin labeled 5V always going to have regulated 5V that I can use for the servo motor? Thanks, -- John Yep, I'by kakaroto - General Mendel Topics
Great, the TAZ printer is finally out! But I'm quite surprised at the price, it's much more expensive than I expected. That's a disappointment, I guess I'll wait and hope for a price drop soon Thanks jebba for your work on the TAZ, it looks great! p.s: There's a typo in the announcement on the blog ( ), should be "waiting for", not "waiting here"by kakaroto - General

Yeah, their price is pretty low. Thx for looking into the non bulk pricing, i was curious what it would be like. I guess that 960$ was excluding the printed parts, right? I don't know how much lulzbot is planning on charging but i asked back in January and jebba said pricing would be similar to what the ao 101 was selling at (1750$ iirc). I can only speculate but my guess is that it wouldby kakaroto - General
I looked over at their developer website : And we can see a lot of recently added files (in the past 2 weeks), important thing to note, the BOM (updated May 2nd) : It shows the parts used and you can see that they have pretty much everything in stock now, they just needed final review on user manual and to create the labels. Note also that they changed the printer name to "TAZ" instead of "TKO"by kakaroto - General
@jebba: Great, I can't wait to see the final results. It would be great if you could upload a video showing various heads, like Tracy had done. But it seems he disabled his youtube account and all videos are gone. This also means that your link for the tutorial on PEM nuts here is now invalid. So I suggest someone from lulzbot reuploads the tutorial and updates the link.by kakaroto - General
@jebba: Thanks for all the interesting info and backstory What I asked about having the STL, I was referring to an STL for hooking two extruders to it. As far as I know, the only printing head STL available only allows one extruder to be mounted on it. A dual head mount STL would be cool so we could just buy the extruder, print the new head, and mount it there. Of course, this would only be possby kakaroto - General
Ok, thanks for the reply. I forget that I can modify it if I want :p It would be nice to have a dual extruder sold or at least the stl for printing the new head adpater. I guess it's details for the post-release though. I thought Tracy was the one designing the TK0 for you. Do you have an idea of how different your version is from his ? Thanks.by kakaroto - General
I can't wait to get a TK0 and give it a try! I'd like to know a couple of things though. Does it have dual-head capabilities? If yes, will there be a kit for that sold? Also, will there be other heads (like the CNC) being sold or only the extruder one ? (from ) Finally, I saw in your BOM some "to be sorted out" items concerning an LCD, and I couldn't see one in any of the videos/photos on your wby kakaroto - General
Don't worry, I've been on the internet before And no, I don't need to like you, just like you don't need to accept anything I've said. I'm looking at tantallus now (and you seem nice in the videos :p), and I have to say I'm impressed by your work, so congrats on that. You're clearly talented, it just sucks that you were acting like a jerk :p Anyways, let's conclude this by quoting something I'veby kakaroto - Tantillus
@Sublime: Like I said, I don't know/care about the status of Slic3r, what you said might have been true, might have been you being honest, however, it was your point of view. As much as you have issues with it, others might not have any issues, and when they say "no, it works perfectly", it's still their point of view.
