Anyone using the Geeetech MK8 extruder on Prusa i3? I'm thinking about trying this extruder on my Prusa i3.by jefhei - General Mendel Topics
Check to see that the hobbed bolt is clean. Use an exacto knife to clean the grooves. Also, make sure the extruder idler is tight when printing. If you are using the default setting for retraction, you may be getting some slippage which may cause your hobbed bolt to clog up with filament.by jefhei - General Mendel Topics
Try Cura instead of slic3r. You won't have those gaps.by jefhei - General Mendel Topics
Thanks for the info @uncle_bob. I have a budasnozzle hotend setup for 3mm filament with a .35 nozzle on my Prusa i2. Heated bed and extruder fan also. I have not yet printed with abs filament, but I'm looking to buy in the near future. I couldn't find you on ebay.by jefhei - General Mendel Topics
Just curious. Who sells the best filament? Usability/Quality. Don't be shy.by jefhei - General Mendel Topics
I have a prusa mendel i2 with RAMPS electronics. I also have the budaschnozzle 2.0 hotend. When I set my hotend temp to 195 it goes up to 210 then down to 188. It continues to go up to 210 then down to 188 over and over. I am using #7 thermistor in Sprint.by jefhei - General Mendel Topics
