My setting as I am configuring it for laser cutting, no Z and E setting : #define HOMING_FEEDRATE {60, 60, 0, 0} // set the homing speeds (mm/min) // default settings #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {80,80,0,0} // default steps per unit for Ultimaker #define DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE {300, 300, 0, 0} // (mm/sec) #define DEFAULT_MAX_ACCELERATION {3000,3000,0,0} // X, Y, Zby otas - General
Yes, thanks, I have #define DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE {300, 300, 0, 0} And M503 displays it correctly.by otas - General
I just tried it with CoreXY commented out, as a normal X - Y system. Still the same 1mm/sec.by otas - General
I am building a Laser cutter with CoreXY configuration using only X and Y axes. I managed to get the directions and homing Y before X OK. Only problem is, my max. speed seems to be about 1mm/sec, and whatever I do does not move axes in the correct speed. The scale - distance travelled seems OK. I tried various selection of boards, as RAMPS 14 EFB, EEF, SF, no difference. Also in SF mode still demby otas - General
Thanks Dave for sharing your wisdom! I think I will follow your route. Right now, must not speak too soon, slic3r is behaving!by otas - Slic3r
I am running Win10 and the slic3r crashes very happily all the time. Sometime when I drag the first item on the 2D plate, sometimes when I add same item to print multiple copies. I used it extensively for 4 years now, but it is getting difficult to live with. There are no messages or warnings. Just disappears from the desktop. I am thinking about moving on...by otas - Slic3r
Hi David, thanks for your IR height sensor board. Fast delivery, super. I am testing it on a micrometer rig, on smoked glass 4mm thick with al. backing. It needs the black paper between aluminium and glass. Without it the distance drops from 3.5mm to 2mm. I am getting 0.04mm band of uncertainty - led flickers from no light to solid ON. And there is no hysteresis. This is just by looking on the LEby otas - For Sale
Thanks for your interest. I will shoot a short video and perhaps put it on Kikstarter as a component, to see what interest it generates. Then I will reveal it.by otas - General Mendel Topics
Thanks, but not much luck there. Never mind, I will perservere. I think the servo is a bit too wobbly and microswitch too inaccurate for this purpose for an accurate measurement. I am working now on optical, contactless switch, which does not need moving parts and retraction. So far I managed on the prototype 10mm clearance gap, 1 micron accuracy with 30 micron hysteresis. The idea is to mount itby otas - General Mendel Topics
I have made microswitch sensor operated by electromagnet for auto bed levelling. Has anybody managed to control electromagnet instead of a servo? Especially on Melzi - using a fan switch transistor to do that? I would appreciate any suggestions.by otas - General Mendel Topics
Hi Alex, great work. I am making an electromagnet operated stick with switch, rather than RC servo. Using Melzi with Panelolulu2 interface, where are two switches available as P27 and P28, one of them I want to use to switch on the elmagnet. Any suggestions how to implement your firmware? When I enter data in Configuration Wizard and start the slic3r, the configuration is lost. Where is it kept? I have searched for config.ini and it is not on the computer?? DOH Thanks for any suggestionsby otas - Slic3r
