That's what I was thinking too, but I just remembered that the other day it did it after I had been moving the print head around manually while trying to re configure the auto bed leveling.by Hawkeye0914 - RAMPS Electronics
Its the 30A LED powere supply here. And it has to be shut down. I did notice last night that when I unplugged the usb cable first last night that the LCD went dark while the powersupply was still on. So for some reason the board is shutting down the power somewhere. The powersupply is still on because the green led on it never goes out and the fans stay on it.by Hawkeye0914 - RAMPS Electronics
Well I just tried it and that didn't work. I have no idea what's causing it.by Hawkeye0914 - RAMPS Electronics
Hello all, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, so sorry if it needs to be moved. I have been having a problem where printing just stops about 2 minutes into the print. I have swapped arduino boards, RAMPS boards, and power supplies, and the problem is the same. Here is a video showing what it does. If anyone can help that would great! Thanks!by Hawkeye0914 - RAMPS Electronics
Im having the same problem. Switching to Cura has seemed to help.by Hawkeye0914 - Printing
Quotepapergeek I had this problem when I started out with the same setup. It turned out that my no-name 400W ATX power supply was SUPPOSED to be supplying 20A on two separate 12V rails but was not. I switched to a $50 500W Antec which seems to be performing as rated. Punchline: generic power supply manufacturers may lie about their current rating. Also make sure you're using BOTH 12V rails. I finally got everything working, the right height and everything except now, after G29 completes and the printing starts. It seems like the axes are inverted from what they were. Ill try to take a video to show what its doing. EDIT: If I home the X and Y axes, it doesnt have the axes reversed. Does this reset the leveling data?by Hawkeye0914 - General Mendel Topics
I am running RAMPS 1.4 and using Repetier Host V0.90C. When I click on dry run the extruder and the bed still heat. Any ideas on why this is happening?by Hawkeye0914 - Repetier
Yeah Im thinking of going to the 30A power suppply and see what that does. I disconnected the fan on the extruder, and that seems to help a lot with keeping the temp in the right spot.by Hawkeye0914 - Printing

I messed something up. Now when I turn the printer on the servo just spins continuously. EDIT: While trying to go through the setting a small mark series. I can here all of the motors making noises like they are straining. Then after a few minutes, the printer crashes and comes back a couple of times then the servo just goes nuts. Once that happens just plugging in the printer makes the servo goby Hawkeye0914 - General Mendel Topics
Well the servo is working now, but now none of my axis will move. No idea what is wrong with it. EDIT: Making sure the power supply is on is always good. Maybe I should go to bed now UPDATE: Now the printer is crashing constantly.by Hawkeye0914 - General Mendel Topics
So simple. Thanks I wasnt even thinking about that since it jerked when I powered on. Thanks!by Hawkeye0914 - General Mendel Topics
Thanks for that Justin. I got it working where the servos moves when I turn on the RAMPS, but thats it M280 P0 shows the correct position, but M401 and M402 do nothing.by Hawkeye0914 - General Mendel Topics
Could you post a picture of how the servo is connected to the RAMPS module? When sending the commands my servo does not respond.by Hawkeye0914 - General Mendel Topics
Hello everyone. I am brand new to 3D printing and just finished my MakerFarm I3 a few days ago. I am running into a problem where the temperatures of both my print board and the hot end are dropping while printing. While sitting still, both temperatures stay at the set temp. I am using a 12v 18amp ATX power supply. Everything was working fine until a few print attempts ago. Any ideas?by Hawkeye0914 - Printing
