Thanks i appreciate that i just wanted to know before i put it on the strip board. is a 12V 5 amp power supply enough for the 5 motors and an extruder?by ostamo2 - Controllers
on the wiki page for Repic the Pololu Steppers do not have the 100K resistor going to Ground and 5V+ for MS1. But on the other RAMPS type electronics they do. Is that resistor needed?I am building these electronics on strip board until i can get stuff to etch a board and would like to do it correctly the first time. i am also building a Prusa mendel and ordered these steppers http://www.pololu.by ostamo2 - Controllers
funny thing about that, i made a .scad file of the bushings and printed them until i could get my bushings ina bit , then i pressed them in with a bench vise and they fit very well. here is the code for the file , it needs to be cleaned up though. InsideDiameter =(11.6/2); OutsideDiameter =8.5; BushingHeighth = 12; ////////////////////////////////// // Outside Diameter //////////////////////////by ostamo2 - General
Actually i bought Brass Bushings to use in my Prusa Build i just need to put them in the Holders i got the STLS from here but the bushings do not slide into those holders well at all. i do not know if i need to make the holes a little bigger to fit my bushings or are you supposed to put them in the holders with a vise i do have a blog i update occasionally now about the build bit i apologize inby ostamo2 - General

well i see more mcwires, and more documentation for them than i do the wolfstrap. is the machine that much better or is just less work to put together. i am asking as i have just begun researching making my machine and mcwire seems easier to put together but a slower machine and wolfstrap , i still have to research more.by ostamo2 - General
I am looking into building a Mcwire Repstrap, is this a good one to work with first? i have several broken printers to scrap parts from as well. and i have read the mcwire is slow but i am a patient person and just want to get started somewhere. any advice to give or thoughts for a beginner?by ostamo2 - General
