QuoteDust what does #define Z_MIN_POS say in your config? Config.h #define Z_MIN_POS 0 I've tried setting the minimum position at -2.5. It appears not to have to do with the final homed position. When MIN_POS is less than 0 it seems to move past the point when the limit switch is triggered and still completes homing in the same position. I've considered creating a custom gcode start for thiby haleiwa - Firmware - mainstream and related support
I recently updated my firmware to get my printer going. I am using a Prusa with MKS Base 1.2. when homing Z height moves to the limit switch twice then moves about 3mm above at the end of homing. Z offset is set to zero in slicer and configuration H. Anyone have any ideas what this could be? Thank you.by haleiwa - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Quotevegasloki The code that lowers the hot end when it starts to print is generated when you slice the object. You shouldn't need to add anything it should do it on its own. The machine will home, nozzle up then start the print at the point that is designated in the slice, usually around the center of the build platform. Since you seem to be getting familiar with G code save the code to diskby haleiwa - General Mendel Topics
Clearing the EEPROM did the trick. I had looked to clear it before but all I was able to find was the clear EEPROM page on the arduino site. Unfortunately they left the number of bits to be written out of the code and I couldn't figure out where it was supposed to go. For anyone who comes across this post. The ramps 1.4 and the MKS Base have 4096 bits of EEPROM to be erased. The code in the arduiby haleiwa - Prusa i3 and variants
I purchased an HIC prusa I3 in 2015. It has served me well. I designed an upgrade and used the repetier 91 tool to generate firmware accordingly. I reverted to pre upgrade functionality and installed new repetier 91 created firmware. This firmware had no problems and served me well. I bought a cheap delta printer from aliexpress. The printer had a different baud rate. At the time I attempted toby haleiwa - Prusa i3 and variants
