Alright, so it seems the general consensus is that people don't seem to want to delete information from the wiki just for being closed source... but how about flagging the articles at least? Just to inform people of what is going on. In that same train of thought, how do you flag articles?by fiveseven808 - Administration, Announcements, Policy
Hi Everyone! I realize that no one has posted here in more than 5 years, but I figure posting here is worth a shot! I'm on Oahu and work in downtown Honolulu, but live on the far west side of things I got into 3D printing with the dirt cheap Anet A8 kit (price was a barrier for me 10 years ago). The reprap movement seems to have died down a bit since more commercial (but also open source) dby fiveseven808 - Hawaii RepRap User Group
An instructable is now up since no admin seems to want to give me a wiki account for whatever reason I hope more people can build and enjoy this awesome little printer!by fiveseven808 - General New Machines Topics
Really hard to explain... but I was hoping someone might be able to help. I have a mini i3 clone I built, and I've been able to get print quality quite good, however I noticed that along the X axis, any walls closest to the right side of the printer (where the belt tensioner is) turns out looking lumpy... Over extrusion maybe? You would normally assume that belt tension is loose, but I don't beby fiveseven808 - General Mendel Topics
I'm all for similar vitamins. I'm thinking about modifying a printer to use 8mm Z axis guide rods instead of 6mm... but it's just one more thing to buy, vs a bunch of 6mm rod stock. I REALLY like the last printer I built because it used M3 screws exclusively. For someone who does not live in the metric part of the world, it vastly simplified purchasing hardware. For the OPs case, I'd have toby fiveseven808 - General New Machines Topics
Since this particular forum section seems quite a bit dead I thought it might be appropriate to post this here rather than the Mendel forum since this is a somewhat unique design in my opinion. This is my build of the 3Dtje Mini 3D printer My build details: Source: Video of test print: What I think makes it unique: Unlike most other designs, the frame is 100% printed, and (2) 6mm x-axis guiby fiveseven808 - General New Machines Topics
Semi off-topic Oh. my. god. I just fried 2 arduinos last night too! I'm guessing I plugged the stepper drives in incorrectly (I was working in a very tight space, adjusting the microstepping, and changing drivers), and at some point, my arduino started smoking. I didn't diagnose the problem before I started tearing things apart, but I'm assuming my stepper drivers were off a pin... Now I neeby fiveseven808 - RAMPS Electronics
I'm using Marlin 1.1.7 with a normal Cartesian/i3 type setup. But I ended up solving my own issue.by fiveseven808 - Firmware - Marlin
So I'm sorta at wits end here.. I'm definitely new to building a printer, so that could be it. Here's the situation: I have a chinese RAMPS v1.4 + arduino + LCD. I flashed it with a mostly stock/template configuration file (almost straight from the github page) and I was able to get things like the LCD working, and I can send commands to motors and they move. However, I can't ever send a commby fiveseven808 - Firmware - Marlin
