I have a set of the RP mendel parts. Printed in green ABS on a heated bed. Very little to no warp on the bigger pieces. They all should be perfectly functional. The last big piece is printing now. Can ship it tomorrow if anyone's interested. I haven't printed an extruder piece yet, but will make one of these or another one piece design for free. Or i could make one of Wades geared extruders fby RustySpoon1121 - Plastic RepRap Parts for Sale

Yea, Ive seen your work and its really nice. I would love to get your input on my design. And if you made a control program for this I would like to take a peek if you're willing. Your tripod seems really small. was it just a model or I was trying to get one that has a decent printable area. this one should be about a 250mm triangle. I forgot to mention i was going to see if these would work fby RustySpoon1121 - Delta Machines
So, Ive had this idea in my head for a while. Its a tripod. But theres like 6 or so distinct pieces for the while thing. I finally had some time to model some pieces out today. I still need a couple of cross beams for support probably to stabilize it. I worked out the formulas to run it. but dont have them with me atm. They are really simple 3d Pythagorean theorem implementation. But here areby RustySpoon1121 - Delta Machines
So, say I wanted 2.5 pounds each of red, black, blue, and white. totaling 10 pounds. Would it be at the 2.5 pound rate or the 10 pound rate?by RustySpoon1121 - For Sale
Do you have a spec sheet for this?by RustySpoon1121 - For Sale
I have printed off all the RP pieces for the Y-axis of the Mendel. I have a heated bed setup so there is very little to no warping on them, except for the bar calmps which I printed before I had the heated bed, but they are still usable.I switched to PLA because I ran out of ABS. They will need drilling out probably but they are all workable. PLA y-motor-bracket_1off y-idler-bracket_1off y-belt-by RustySpoon1121 - For Sale
I believe that scientists have done this, but the problem is that it cant get anywhere near a consistent line unless the whole thing is in a vacuum. Which makes it more useful to astronauts, who cant just go and buy parts that break. There was a video of it online but i cant seem to find it right now.by RustySpoon1121 - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Alibre Designer will open it. it has a free trial so you can check it out. or i converted the reprap pieces to stlsby RustySpoon1121 - General New Machines Topics
Have you seen this yet Seems like just what you are after.by RustySpoon1121 - General Mendel Topics
I just got a EMC2 machine running. It does have some networking support but not much. From what I have found, it seems a lot of the cheap network cards interfere with the real time kernel. And that would completely screw using it for a cnc controller. I tried like 3 or 4 cards before i found one that worked. Its an nice older 3COM 3c509 you can get them for like 5-10. I would suggest not messinby RustySpoon1121 - EMC2
This is a whole assembly that nophead made up. the green circle is a power resistor used as a heater, embedded into a block of aluminum(the gray square around it), which is also used as the nozzle. The turned down section acts as sort of a heat shield section. Here is his whole post about it. I was thinking that i could just use one of these threaded onto the end with some heatsink compound.by RustySpoon1121 - For Sale
Just curious, but have you finished this yet?by RustySpoon1121 - For Sale
How long are the barrels and combo barrel/nozzle parts? Also, would you be able to turn down a section of the middle to 4mm? About halfway down this picture is what im talking about. [1.bp.blogspot.com]by RustySpoon1121 - For Sale
Has anyone tried using Polypropylene to print with? I was looking around and found some for like $2.25 /lb on ebay. But I couldn't find anything on the forums about printing with it. Im just trying to see if its worth getting, as its 40lbs a pop. Does it print well, or at all? Thanks guysby RustySpoon1121 - Plastic Extruder Working Group
