Thank you Dust, I've turned the X stepper motor plug and the XY not travelling in the correct axis. There's one little problem left, is that I want to reverse the Y direction only, I've tried to invert the direction in configuration.h of Marlin, But the Axis have XY axis have now swapped back Please can someone assist me with this problem. Thanks so much.by duckfriedrice - Reprappers
Hi All I have just built my first corexy 3d printer, but the X and Y axis are switched. I.e moving in X direction , the hotend is moving in Y direction and vice versa Can anyone assist in how to switch the X / Y axis please Thanksby duckfriedrice - Reprappers
I've replaced another MOSFET and bridged the PCB trace and it works like a charm Thanksby duckfriedrice - Reprappers
I have burnt a ramps 1.4 board last week, the middle pin of the Ramps 1.4 board was burnt. Ordered some new ramps board and replacement MOSFET from the internet. New MOSFET is IRLB8743, apparently this MOSFET is better replacement as the existing ones. The new parts arrived today and tried to run my old prusa i3 once again, but the same problem occured with the same issue The middle pin of thby duckfriedrice - Reprappers
Hi Zelogik Really appretiate your advice here, especially the path issue. I will do some modifications later. Many thanksby duckfriedrice - Reprappers
Hi reprapers, I have built my first reprap - Prusa Mendel i3 last year and has been printing great. And now I wanted to build a new printer with CoreXY system. Basically I have done some alterations in the design of CoreXY, so far I'm facing a number of issues after making the sample out by laser cut sheet metal Please help to correct me if I'm wrong. My apology, I've missed the MOSFET research page at the end of the sentence in your last reply post. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi Dust Thanks for the recommandations with the MOSFET replacement, I've burnt 3 ramps 1.4 already with small 4cm fan blowing directly on to the 3 MOSFET on thby duckfriedrice - Reprappers
Thanks for the help above, I have reduced the acceleration of the XY feedrate from 3000 to 2000, and Z feedrate from 200 to 180. The shifting problem has improved greatly, but there is still minor shifting at layers with supporting material. Just wanted to know why the acceleration was fine at 3000 in few weeks back, and there's problem with it now. I have not changed anything between this tby duckfriedrice - Reprappers
Here are my attempts in fixing this shifting problem. - Tighten gear on the Y-Stepper motor - Check tension on the Belt in Y-axis - Separate stepper cables and endstop/sensor cables Problem still occurs, I have taken a photo of my print this morning The printer was printing perfectly fine last week. Shifting begins to occur last week. What else can I do ? Week 1 Week 2 Week 3by duckfriedrice - Reprappers

Thanks very much I've tried to look up all tabs for anything like DIOSDPOWER, but I cannot find it. What's causing this error message at the moment ?by duckfriedrice - General

I think it is supported, coz its provided from the same supplier. I've uncommented the reprap_discount_smart_controller command line where else do I need to modify in the configuration.h file ?by duckfriedrice - Reprappers
Hi there I can finally get back to the printer, been too busy recently. I've realised that I forgot to short the pins underneath the A4988 Stepper drivers. The printer can now move ! I'm figuring out how to get the LCD to work. Its only showing square blocks on the screen, nothing else though......by duckfriedrice - Reprappers
Thanks for all the help up there, I've tried to trace back the thermistor cable, but there isn't any shorted problem. I've tried to upload some firmware example for the arduino board i.e. Blink and Fade, and they work fine I've tried to study the firmware code in the configuration.h, but I'm not a programming wizzard Am a bit lost right now, I've uploaded the Marlin.pde file here, can someonby duckfriedrice - Reprappers
I have finished putting togeter my Prusa Mendal i3, and put marlin on the arduino. iv got a heated bed, and a fan for my ramps 1.4 electronics. and mechanical endstops. I have connected the printer up to pronterface, and cannot get it to move the x,y, z axis only by clicking the home icon. Nothing showing up on the LCD display too. Can someone guide me to get it working please. Thanks Here isby duckfriedrice - Reprappers
Yes, unfortunately I'm another unhappy customer of CubeX - 3D Systems The filament cartridge is a rip off, I have been using the cartridge hack method since first day of 3d printing (Cartridge plugged in & external bulk filament) My mainboard of CubeX shorted a while ago, but managed to get it replaced and as usual, have to wait for the parts to arrive for 2 months.
