Hi, I'm selling a set of faberdashery arctic blue PLA prusa 2 parts. They fit LM8UU bushings, I can include some printed bushings that are compatible if you want too (let me know if you want these, they would be printed in a different colour that I find runs better on the rods). The parts are printed at 0.25mm layer heights, and all parts are reamed so that everything just fits together nicely. Tby james glanville - For Sale
I cannot see any reason why the stabilisers are a good idea, though I did notice improvements (probably just more care assembling the second time.) if you're going to use them, attach them do you can just slide them up and down the smooth rod, and then take off and reattach the couplers. This helps make sure the couplers are on straight.by james glanville - General Mendel Topics
Let me guess, atx psu? I had that same problem though more intermittently, it helped to heavily load the 5V and 12V lines, and put plenty of capacitors near the mosfets for the heaters. Basically, when the load of the PSU goes from a good hundred watts to almost zero, you get power spikes on the 12v line, and the psu shuts down to prevent frying what it thinks is a delicate computer. I believe EMC2 is x86-only, though I may be wrong. However, I'm thinking of using my rpi (if I ever get it): run all non realtime pins to r-pi gpios (things like heating control, stepper enable lines, fan control) use small avr connected to the serial lines to do real-time stuff modify pronterface to poke the gpios instead of sending gcode to the avrby james glanville - EMC2
They look like very outdated parts. I'd opt for a prusa2 set with the option of lm8uu bearings. here's my set: but I'd still opt for this design wherever you get the parts.by james glanville - Allgemeines
I have a set of prusa2 parts with printed lm8uu-style bushings (you can use these or proper lm8uus) printed in electric blue PLA at 0.3mm layer heights. all: (sorry for the bad lighting, they're packaged up to send now.) PM me, or email at james.n.glanville@gmail.coby james glanville - For Sale
I suspect your printed parts are very accurately made, whereas the stls are made to be printable on worse printers with larger tolerances, so it is better to have people like you have parts that are slightly too big than it is to have a load of people not be able to insert pieces. As long as the nut won't rotate, it'll be fine, but you could always just glue a thin strip of something to the outerby james glanville - General

When I want to change colours and the hot end has cooled down, I start it heating, and keep trying to tug the old filament out. With pla, the temperature is about 100C when you can pull the entire thing out with a cast of the hot end at the end. This was, you don't leave much spare pigment to mess up the next colour.by james glanville - General
If you can scrap money together by any means, you'll find a working reprap can pay for itself fairly easily. I broke even on mine after selling just 3 RP part sets (£150 cost of reprap, ~£50 profit per set). I'd be very very surprised if anyone will give you such easily sellable parts for free though. Any way you can scavenge parts from rubbish dumps? That saved me >£100 straight away.by james glanville - Wanted

I don't know if this is bad etiquette, but I've lowered the bid to just £45 as I need moneys for more plastic soon, so bumped the auction to be more visible.by james glanville - For Sale
The reason these haven't been included are because they won't be the same as everyone. What pulleys/belts you use affects it, my prusa has >200 steps/mm for X and Y because I'm using tiny belts and pulleys. Also, you need to get the steps/mm for e for your particular hobbed bolt, as they all vary in diameter.by james glanville - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Hi, I'm selling a full set of prusa 2 parts on ebay: -natural pla, printed with 0.3mm layer height, 0.5mm nozzle -includes hobbed bolt, igus bearings, and skate bearings for extruder/idler - should be easy to source everything else -will ship worldwide -part quality much higher than my own prusa 2 they were printed on, so absolutely good enough to use easily. -extruder uses herringbone gears,by james glanville - For Sale
Could you add some more resistors also in parallel to lower overall resistance? Whatever you do, expect the power dissipated in the bed to be lower than expected, because as it heats up, the resistance increases thus lowering the current. That's why my bed is now powered by a 16V lighting transformerby james glanville - Controllers
