Hmm it will only work if you are powering the Arduino from USB. Then you can then use a digital output pin from the Arduino. I would also like to electricaly isolate the switching process from the Arduino by using that pin to switch a transistor or Fet with a reed relay or relay to switch the PSU on and off. If you are using the PC powersupply like I am to power the the Arduino. Then its a littby BodgeIt - Controllers
Oh yes I had miss rememberd the build bins they were lined with stainless steel not made of stainless steel. As i said earlier. http://homemade3dprinter.blogspot.com/2009/08/build-bin-parts.htmlby BodgeIt - Powder Printing and Selective Laser Sintering
If any one can think of an easy economic way to construct the two chambers required to build a poweder printer that we be a good starting point. The chambers would need to be 210mm / 8" wide by at least 5" or 8" long then the depth is how every high you want the print to be. The build area would be 8" x 5" x 5" maybe the next problem having made sutible chambers is to find a very good piston sby BodgeIt - Powder Printing and Selective Laser Sintering
I am now applying those Ideas as Iam making a live build of Mendel making bits as I go. I think I may do it wihin the weekend. so mechanicaly not a huge undertaking. Electronics if you are a begiiner might seem daunting but many like Motorassist have takled it with great success I think. I am Just Finishing the last Kebab the bottom Kebab I use an 8.5mm drill for all parts that are to be bolted onto Threaded Bar and for Holding things like the running Bar I use an 8mm hole as it makes a tight friction join ideal for holing the slide bars. To get the bar through the Nylon Blocks with the 8mm hole a gentle tap with a very small rubber hammer from the pound shop is used. Just aboutby BodgeIt - Reprappers

To CrisWilson10 & johnrpm Thats a very interesting bit about nylon powder and infrared lamps from your notes above was it a nylon material that the Deskop factory were using in its sub $5000 3D printer? The clever and difficult to make parts of Afgasso's HM3DP printer are the two stainless steel chambers with their sliding bottoms/pistons. Im sure these parts are now possible to print using RepRap. That leaves the construction of the leveling mechanism and the compresion roller. The other part a slide mechanism for the printer chasis is as simple as one axis of RepRap and is easy to construct uby BodgeIt - Powder Printing and Selective Laser Sintering

Wow guys ~ Thank you Victor I do now have a copy of the 5.6 free Eagle. Quadshop... is a very interesting blog thank you. Sebastian I have been following the HM3DP blog by Alvaro M. Fogassa. I bought 3 Lexmark end of line Printers in ASDA = (UK Wallmart) 3 years ago as a cheap source of stepper motors. Also having several other old HP ink jet printers. All of these printers in my opinion could be used instead of using the specific Lexmark Z12 used in the HM3DP project. Victor, or anyone else who knows I need to use Bertha to mill some simple prototype PCB s. As your last post indicates milling a PCB requires a different design style/concept to make a millable PCB to an etch able PCB design. My questions are based on how you can simply switch from a track based design to an isolation based PCB design. Do any of the Free PCB design packages support this? Is tby BodgeIt - General
I needed a Dremel clamp to hold my dremel look alike on to Bertha here is what I used :- Dremel’s chainsaw sharpening kit (#1453) is a fantastic little Dremel attachment to mount your Dremel or Dremel look alike on to your RepRap or CNC macine. Im sure that some one skiled with any of the 3D packages could construct a simple replacement for the quite expensive part from Dremel The other Clamp iby BodgeIt - Let's design something! Thanks for your reply Graham, I'm not sure why I would need to have reversing ability thou. Currently I'm using an Aldi ~ Dremel look alike, I'm hoping that using a BLDC and ECS with drive belt and home made bearing block will be significantly quieter than a real or look alike Dremel. Thank you both.. @ Grael.. Now I thought my 15A drive brush less motor was High current.. The size of the wire required for 70-80A would be significant. @jing I dont know if you have both versions of arduino0017 and arduino0012 installed. If you have both installed this can cause problems as all the settings are not stored within the specific instalation directory Thus depending on your order of instalation of the two diffrent arduino-00XX SW versions. As long as you can make your repstrap version of Mendel or Darwin achive full 3D movement to conform to the defined build area for that version. The dimensions of the frames and support components is not that crucial.
