Please add LulzBot Prusa Mendel, December 2011. You can also add our MendelMax derivative the MiniMax, March, 2012. Thanks! -Jeff Moeby jebba - General
We run Debian Squeeze on an older Thinkpad (32 bit!) to control 14 printers via USB hub. We have a similar Thinkpad, but 64bit, running Debian Squeeze controlling another 14. On other machines we run Debian Wheezy (testing). It all works just fine. We've used Fedora in the past ok too.by jebba - General

Why make a standard for a bleeding edge project based on an old v1 design? I submit for your consideration the next generation RepRap, combining the best of Prusa and the MendelMax in one: the MiniMax. Also, which sample file were you using? We didn't send any out with the ebay printers. I recommend installing slic3r from and generating your own .gcode with that. Have fun, -Jeff Moeby jebba - Printing
You may want to check out slic3r to use in place of skeinforge/sfact. Some people find it easier. -Jeff Moeby jebba - General
Hey, you have a RAMPS board. You DO NOT have to configure anything with Arduino nor flash the firmware, as that is already done and it is calibrated for your printer. You just need to install printrun to send files to the printer: printrun is and precompiled for windows (without sfact) at & precompiled for OSX (without sfact) at You can use slic3r to make .gcode files from .stl files (by jebba - Reprappers
It is kind of hard to tell from the photo, but it appears it didnt stick to the bed. Make sure your Z height is calibrated. You'll want the nozzle just oh-so-little above the bed when it does its first layer (like the distance of two sheets of paper thickness or so).by jebba - Printing

Hey, I own lulz. The tax depends on where you are. If you are outside of Colorado, USA, the tax is 0% (zero). In Colorado, add 2.9%. In Larimer county, add 0.8%. And if you are in our town,by jebba - General

Hi, I have this kit as well. I have done some assembly. I'll periodically upload more images to this directory as things progress: Presently there are only unpacking photos there. If anyone wants to grab photos from there to put in the wiki or whatever, feel free. -Jeff Moe P.S. I also have a Shapercube 1.0, which I have in a "just got some first prints done" state--it workz.by jebba - For Sale
