Hi,
The last couple of versions (06/11 and 06/16) have not worked for me, they did not run due to complaints about not finding paths with getModule...
the latest (06/21) works, and so did (06/07).
(06/21) has a slight complaint about not being able to find behold, but otherwise works. btw im running ubuntu 9.04.
Here is the startup text of 06/21:

How about adding a sensor to the tool head which measures the nozzle height from the bed.
Anyone who has tried to print on a warped bed will know that a small curvature of say, 0.5mm in 50mm is enough to disrupt the raft, and therefore prevent printing.
If we had a height sensor (laser based, eddy current, or some kind of feeler probe. micro-epsilon)
Then the curvature of the print bed could be

I tried it, but ended up baking it in the extruder, ended up with burnt crumbly residue. I think it may have extruded properly at first but not sure, didn't get as far as testing adhesion to print bed, warping etc.
I think it has a low thermal stability, so it can be taken up to the melting point, but if kept there for to long will do strange things to the polymer.
I tried to find the temp sett

Hey,
Check out these links, a Korean team has designed a one stage process for making PLA. Instead of fermenting lactic acid and then doing some other process to polymerise it, the E.coli just does it all.
Sounds like good news for PLA being cheap and widely available in the future .

Hi, im using a rapman, and am trying to get hdpe to print reliably. The results so far are promising, however hdpe holds its temperature for so long (above the glass transition temp) that as the much finer (therefore quicker cooling) intermediate layers are printed onto the base, they shrink, and pull up the base. The settings so far give a good, well adhered base, but as Bogdan mentioned on the
