Thanks Dust, that worked perfectly I am a bit embarrased since I missed this info on the wiki page. And Traumflug, yes, I had already switched two wires on my cables, as the pinout is a bit different, but thank you for the heads-up Now to make all the rest work...by Eriksen - Sanguino(lolu)
Hi there, I am modernising my old Prusa, which involves a newly-soldered sanguinololu board. I used to have Gen 3 electronics and I want to re-use the old opto endstops (v2.1). When no endstops are attached to the electronics board, I read 5V between GND and V+ (or SIG if I switch it in the firmware). But when I plug in the endstop, I read ~1.8V at SIG and ~0.9V at V+. Hi there. I am about to wire up a set of Sanguinololu electronics for my old Prusa. I have got a heated bed Mk. 2a ready, but I have a question about the PSU. I have an ATX PSU with two 12V rails, rated for 14A and 10A, respectively. Combined, this should be adequate for Sanguinololu plus heated bed, but I am a bit unsure how this works. The 14A rails should be able to cover the heated bed andby Eriksen - General

Did you get this fixed? I had the same problem with random pauses due to a 'checksum mismatch'. The solution for me was to change the transfer rate in the firmware to 57200 baud (and of course setup Repsnapper to the same value before connecting; you can change it in the settings file). I use Gen 3 electronics. -Eriksenby Eriksen - General
Well, I went over the endstop cable last night and pressed the wires really hard into the plug (a bit like for an RJ45 connector), and things started working. Here's hoping that the issue is fixed completely. -Eriksenby Eriksen - General
Hi Viktor, Thanks for the answer. Yeah, I may have some EMI electrical noise problem. My opto cables are made from old HDD ribbon cable. I am not too familiar with noise issues, though. Are there any small cables that would be better shielded (but still commonplace scavenging material)? CAT-5 is a bit more bulky than I would like. I was thinking about the audio cable from CD-ROM drives (betweenby Eriksen - General
Hi there, New reprapper here I recently built myself a Prusa Mendel: - Printed parts from Nophead (very nice) - 3rd gen. electronics, 5D firmware - Arcol hotend - Wade extruder - optical endstops I use Skeinforge and Repstrapper. So far I am getting quite nice print quality (PLA), while learning the ins and outs of Skeinforge. However... Occasionally my x-axis starts 'skipping' in the negaby Eriksen - General
