Well, what I have checked so far: 1) Z movement codes are present in the file just like in any other files - Z lifts, offsets, Z positionning at start of layer.. 2) Octoprint shows Z layer changes corresponding to reality. I mean, when visually the printer has gone through 3 layers 0.2 high, Octoprint shows height 0.6 3) the LCD of Sanguinololu shows the same - all as it should be. but! Hi everybody, thought I would share a weird problem that has been happening with my printer. I use the Sanguinololu controller obviously, and all is well - models are being printed as well as they can. But! If I try printing something large - like - a strange thing happens. Printing starts as it should but the printer does not move in Z direction. LCD screen shows that it does (Z level count iby bujholm - Sanguino(lolu)
Necessity is mother of education Got it - the "vertical" size of the board was a bit larger than 10 cm indeed. Had to move the two horizontal paths (one to the U20, and other that runs through one side of all the jumpers) a bit lower and reduce the overall size of board there as well. The U20 name on top silkscreen sticks out as well Now to see if dirtypcbs really work.. Would be great to etchby bujholm - Controllers
Traumflug, thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately my ignorance is such I don't even know where to start looking for these lines... bryanandaimee - next version, what next version? Can we expect it anytime in the nearest future?by bujholm - Controllers
bryanandaimee - tried to send an order to , but their script tells me one of the sides is too large - 10.032! Is there any way to reduce it another 32 hundredths of a centimeter? I must admit a complete lack of Geda knowledge, unfortunately..by bujholm - Controllers
Hi all, I have the same board and the same problems with the hotbed. I also have a weak PS powering the printer, so decided to add another one just for the bed. Hooked a modified car relay to the heatbed connector of the Sanguinololu to power the bed using that second power supply - worked quite well, modded the relay a bit (capacitor + diode) so that it survives the constant switching, but theby bujholm - Sanguino(lolu)
Alright, for future reference to all those in trouble with Sanguino controller and the display board of unknown origins - look at the front of your board. There are connections on top - in my case there were 16, and that would probably be the case. I think a lot of different Chinese manufacturers are just reproducing the design of the RepRapDiscount Smart Controller If that's your case you can doby bujholm - Repetier
Hi robbyg, I have the same display as pictured here: and I do have the right adapter - the one that reconnects the 2 groups of 10 pins into a group of 14 and a group of 6 pins As shown here The problem might be a bit trickier that I initially thought - I can guess the pins on the connector of the Sanguinololu, but I have not faound any indication as to what any of these pins connect to on theby bujholm - Sanguino(lolu)
Guess this thread is best for asking my similar question as well: Sanguinololu 1.3a but with Repetier firmware, and the same display type - could be from the same Sainsmart. Now, the problem is - I can't get the pinout straight. Need to make a section similar to this but for our controller (folowing one is for Rumba board): if MOTHERBOARD==80 #define BEEPER_PIN 44 #define UI_DISPLAby bujholm - Sanguino(lolu)
You mean I should keep FEATURE_CONTROLLER = 2 (which it is, as far as I can tell by the description I see in the config - 2004 LCD, rotary enc, beeper..) But insert my own section #if MOTHERBOARD==62 and fill it with pin defs? Now only to find the processor pin numbers that correspond to that Sanguinololu connectorby bujholm - Repetier
Hi! I am using a clone of the RepRapDiscount smart controller - identical to the placement of LCD and other elements. Controller board is Sanguinolou 1.3 - but I have yet to get as far as the controller board. Using firmware 0.83 - have yet to figure out how to use the most recent version, and decided to tackle it one thing at a time, first will solve display problem then move over to new firmwaby bujholm - Repetier
Hi everyone, I seem to be unable to solve these two issues on my own so need your help: I am using Repetier firmware 083 and Host version 0.90C, slicing models in Kisslicer. Everything works well except the printer insists, at the end of the print, on moving Y close to the back of the machine and X to about 100 mm. I look at the Repetier host End scipt settings - nothing. I look in Kisslicer endby bujholm - Repetier
