The original MOSFET recommended for the Sanguinololu has part number RFP30N06LE. SparkFun has it stocked along with FQP30N06L, and claims that they are interchangable. Would it be wise to order the FQP30N06L or is there a more appropriate option?by spaceorange12 - Sanguino(lolu)
Thanks for the replies. I went online and did some research after posting this, and confirmed what enif said about the RadioShack part not being a MOSFET. I went back to the Sanguinololu wiki page and found the exact part number, but it's been discontinued. Will any 60v, 30a MOSFET do? I also went ahead and returned the ceramic capacitors. I figured that it wasn't worth it to experiment, especialby spaceorange12 - Sanguino(lolu)
So I decided to take the first step in building a Sanguinololu and ordered all of the specialized parts off of Mouser last night. Today I went to RadioShack to find the components that I thought were more common. Unfortunately, they did not have many of the exact parts listed on the BOM. First off, there were only 3 tantalum capacitors in the entire store, and none of them had a proper uF spec. Sby spaceorange12 - Sanguino(lolu)
I solved my problem! I was plugging in power to the Arduino, not the RAMPS. Motors all work great, I'm excited to continue with the build!by spaceorange12 - RAMPS Electronics
Endstops are not connected - is that necessary (newb alert)? I checked and everything else seems fine, thanks for the responses.by spaceorange12 - RAMPS Electronics
Hello, I am about to begin scratch building another 3D printer. All the materials have been delivered, and I have been working on testing the RAMPS electronics. I have successfully compiled and uploaded the motor test code, and the lights are flashing but there is no movement, sound, vibrations etc. coming from the motors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!by spaceorange12 - RAMPS Electronics
Hello, I recieved a Printrbot Simple a week ago, and I have assembled it and installed all the necessary software. Unfortunately, my printer is having many issues with homing. When I set the proper corner of the bed as "home" and attempt to run a print, the X axis presses against it's endstop (which screws up the belt quite a bit) and then the Z axis begins to move upwards with no intention of sby spaceorange12 - General
I hate to be impatient, but can you update it soon? My mom's birthday is in a few days, and I want to give her a cool 3D printed giftby spaceorange12 - Repetier
Yes, I see the button. I meant to say that it does not work properly in my case, it turns blue when clicked but does not delete the configuration.by spaceorange12 - Repetier
Quoterepetier What should work in any case (including mac) is pressing the reset button after starting the connection. Unfortunately, pressing the reset button after connecting disconnects the printer (not sure why). Do you think it's a possibility that my Printrboard is screwy? EDIT: In the new version of Mac, can you also add a way to delete printer configurations?by spaceorange12 - Repetier
Hmm. Perhaps try changing the setting to the "high low high" or something similiar - not sure quite how it's worded.by spaceorange12 - Repetier
With Windows, you can go into your printer settings, and in the first menu check that the Reset on Connect setting is disabled. I hope this helps you. (But it doesn't help me, the Mac version doesn't have that setting )by spaceorange12 - Repetier
Hello, I am having trouble with the latest Mac version of Repetier-Host (0.56). When I connect my Printrbot, the blue box at the top of the print panel says "5 commands waiting." I have tried changing the baudrate, enabling ping-pong, etc. but nothing changes. Please help!by spaceorange12 - Repetier
