Cannot say for sure, My 3D Printers moves had random detours for quite some time before thinking it could be EMI noise. Basically just shielding the controller helped dramatically though because of the long cable runs to display/rotary click encoder. Still I experienced much less random movements, then using the dual tape method solved the problem. So is this solution working on your random moveby Roberts_Clif - Printing
I used Aluminum foil duct tape, and I shielded the cables from all EMI noise. I covered the Display cables with painters tape then attached to the frame using Aluminum foil duct tape. The painters tape keeps the Aluminum foil duct tape from making the cables sticky if you ever want to remove it. I stuck the Aluminum foil duct tape inside my controller case cover making sure to ground it.by Roberts_Clif - Printing
Are Purge buckets worth anything, do they work or are they a waste of effort.by Roberts_Clif - Prusa i3 and variants
Today I am looking into a Retractable Purge Mechanism. This one to be exact link. Before I waste my time was hoping to get some opinions on what you think or if you have tried one for your opinion.by Roberts_Clif - Prusa i3 and variants
I have purchased some IdeaFormer 256x268mm Anycubic Kobra 3 Compatible 3D Printer Build Plate, Spring Steel PEO - PET Heat bed Sheet. Other than human error the results were fine. started with a 3D Printer that I had not used for two years and did not now how far off it was. Actually the tuning time was greatly exaggerated, as I did not remember putting a brand new 1mm nozzle on this printer andby Roberts_Clif - Prusa i3 and variants
It appears that you have already found the correct manual though I will post a link for download location. Maybe if one of our better 3D Printer enthusiast look at the design of " The extruder > Der DD1-Extruder or Der DD2-Extruder in this manual. They may tell you that a simple conversion to the upper mount could be made to use something like a J-Head extruder. they look so similar to each oby Roberts_Clif - General
It has much information that you can use to do almost every thing you may want. Repetier x400 Firmware (v2.2.1) you can use the profile information here to change to Marlin it you would like. It has profiles for many filament . Plus quite a few Technical Support Documentsby Roberts_Clif - General
I went on a quick web search and found these hope they help! Web link Owners manual x400v4_1.11_EN_150.pdf Sorry for all the edits I lost the links had to re-find some of them.by Roberts_Clif - General
I fixed my slow computer problem by cloning my boot hard drive replacing the spinning hard drive with a solid state hard drive. It used to take several minutes to boot my computer also, now it boots in about 15 seconds. Then repeated the process for my laptop best money ever spent. Once it took several hours to do a windows update, now this process is also done more quickly. (Cost for a 1TB hardby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
Just thought of something. You might have accidentally adjusted the contrast on the RepRapDiscount Full Graphic Smart Controller. adjusting it may bring back your display.by Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
I purchased the Smart discount display and found that they are wired incorrectly for my 3d Printer Display MLCD2004 Picture below My original controller is bottom and the Bigtree controller is on top Note the original display has right angle connector and the BIgtree has straight just pointing out the differences. this does not make any differences. What did make a difference was the the pinoby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
Using the basic Marlin, Marlin 2 is a little different but similar You can look at the pin numbers in pins_RAMPS.h Using Arduino IDE // // Steppers // #define X_STEP_PIN 54 #define X_DIR_PIN 55 #define X_ENABLE_PIN 38 #ifndef X_CS_PIN #define X_CS_PIN 53 #endif #define Y_STEP_PIN 60 #define Y_DIR_PIN 61 #define Y_ENABLE_PIN 56 #ifndefby Roberts_Clif - RAMPS Electronics

Do not know if this will help, though I had a problems similar this this. With the power turned off and the heat bead disconnected measure the resistance from the positive voltage to the hotbed heater if the resistance is very low or zero then you have a short somewhere. I have purchased many different circuit boards where a solder blob was the problem, have also had traces that do not make theby Roberts_Clif - RAMPS Electronics

I have installed the first flexible magnetic stainless steel bed. The steel plates have much more sensitivity to my proximity sensor making them detect this plate 2mm before the Heated aluminum bed. Along with the fact the my y axis belt clamp was extremely loose caused me some problems. 1st the proximity sensor detected the bed outside the area I could address with z-offset adjustment in marlinby Roberts_Clif - Prusa i3 and variants
Note: I looked at your pictures an saw the key on the bottom same as my controller. You will note the key on my connector is also on the bottom an my red wire in on the opposite side as yours. Not sure this is the problem but think about, I have never had a LCD die because it was plugged in backwards or in opposite connectors. This was previously posted here many years ago not sure exactly whenby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
My Hictop had a problem were the Cable was incorrect and I had the plug the cable in backwards from the key another LCD display is correctly wired. Examine the two LCD displays connector one the Key is on top and the bottom on the other. Note the red wire on the ribbon cables. bottom LCD is the original to different brand. In the End I pulled the plastic off the pins and replaced it the waby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
Maybe this will help. I built a MPCNC using Marlin firmware all information is located at V1 Engineering MPCNC It has been several years ago, You will need to examine the Marlin code to see how they programmed Marlin firmware for CNCby Roberts_Clif - Firmware - mainstream and related support

I see this has parts of a configuration I did some time ago I have three Hictop i3 clones the original controller boards names vary they are still all the same controller. Did not phrase it correctly. I was asking it there would be a benefit to use a TMC2209 instead of the A4988.by Roberts_Clif - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
I have a question? Is there any benefit using a TMC2209 for extruders stepper motors. Please be specific. Thank Youby Roberts_Clif - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors

Went with a different switch I cut the switches down an turn switch 90 degrees to make it smaller for my filament run-out. Will Change design to suit these Creality style switches end stop switches. Then will have created a even small filament run-out switch.by Roberts_Clif - General
OK! Well I typed that in one of by posts that the LCD had a filament run-out on/off toggle switch. Somehow in the middle of a post, messed up lost every thing I re-typed post somehow must have missed the LCD on/off toggle switch part.by Roberts_Clif - Firmware - Marlin
Well this is what I purchased and your switch is just installed backwards. Remove switch, carefully bend the switch leads to the other side and resolder.by Roberts_Clif - General
I have had problems using some slicers where it would move the configurations from file to slicer and mess up slicer and had to reconfigure.
