Thanks again, finally sorted, a combination of the default_max_feedrate and the wrong voltage to my hall effect sensor!!by triggernom - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
Thanks stephenrc, that kind of worked, I can get up to 12800 steps/mm now. For some reason auto home on z has now stopped working, it just drives straight through. Maybe I'll try to 1/8 step at 6400?by triggernom - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
Hi All, I have a new z-axis made from a TR18 leadscrew through a 1:16 gearbox, I've attached a Nema23 at first through the pololu driver and then through a 4A Pibot electronics stepper driver (TB6600) but it only functions up to around 5200 steps/unit. I'm using Marlin/Ramps1.3. Is there anyway of getting a higher step count (12800 would be great!) using my current hardware? Thanks for any helpby triggernom - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
Hi All, I'm no expert but I've managed to make a couple of 3D printers over the last few years. My latest changes on my custom build was to add a huge Zimm TR18 jack screw to the z-axis (couldn't resist, it was free!) I've got the thing running smoothly coupled to a Nema23 on Ramps with pololu drivers. The problem I have is as soon as I try to get the z steps correct (I've calculated 12800 per uby triggernom - RAMPS Electronics
Hi All, I've just started out to build my printer and stumbled at the first hurdle! I've bought and assembled a Sanguinololu board and checked the USBTTL comms (seems to work fine) but I can't manage to get any firmware to load into the Atmel. I'm using Ubuntu 13.04, tried a few versions of the Arduino IDE (one in the Ubuntu repos, Two from Arudino website) I've managed to get Repetier firmwaby triggernom - United Kingdom RepRap User Group
