When I home, min endstops are triggered, and max endstops are open. I dont think they are the problem... What else can I try?

Hi, I am building a new 3d printer. Im using marlin as the firmware and repetier software. When I press the home buttons on repetier, the printer homes perfectly, but no matter where the head is located, the jog does not work. What can I do?

Ok, sorry... now that I read it again, I realize it makes no sense... The Mosfet that is closest to the D8 connector is over heating. If I let the power on for a few moments, the plastic from the D8 and D9 terminals start to melt! I don't have a heatsink on. The Mosfet looks like it is burnt. Do I have to change the Ramps Board? How can I make sure this doesn't happen again? Is there too much cu

I'm using RAMPS 1.4, and the Q3 Mosfet was melting the stepper motor drivers. I separated the wires, so they wouldn't touch. Then the mosfet started melting the terminal block. I'm pretty sure this shouldn't heat up that much. Any help is appreciated.

After I literally finish building, what calibrations/detailing do I have to change so I can print? I can move all of the axis from pronterface. What tweaking do I have to do so I can get a successful print? Please describe in detail... Thank you!

I just finished building my prusa i3 rework. But when I insert the filament, the extruder moves the filament up to a certain point, and then starts grinding the filament. When I remove the filament, some of it is melted down. I am using a J-head 3mm 0.35 hot end. Is this something of calibration? how can I fix this?

Hi, I am building my first Reprap, I dont have too much electronics experience but i know the basics. Up until now, all of the hardware is mounted, and when I finished with the electronics, I programed the arduino, ran Pronterface and connected the printer. Hi, Im building my first RepRap, and I'm having some trouble choosing a hot end. I decided I want to go with the J head, but there are some specifications, and I don't know what to pick. Do I use 1.75mm filament extruder or 3.0mm filament extruder? What is the difference? Do i use 0.35mm, 0.4mm, or 0.5mm hot end? What is the difference?

Hi, I am currently building my first rep rap, and decided to go with the Prusa Mendel i3 rework. One of the doubts I'm having is the power supply. I found this one on eBay: Will this work? I am using RAMPS 1.4 with the StepStick A4988 Stepper Driver, and a heat bed. Another question is if these stepper motors will work for my rep rap, and what is the difference between them?: Any help
