Hi. I'm excited to announce Pololu's new stepper motor driver carrier for the AMIS-30543. Compared to the A4988/DRV88xx boards, the AMIS-30543 can deliver more current (1.8 A per coil continuously without a heat sink or forced air flow) and features SPI-controllable current limiting! Other options can be changed via SPI too. Here is a size comparison of the A4988/DRV88xx form factor to the newby RyanTM - For Sale

Hello, Simba. No, we have not released our board fabrication information. The schematics are available on the product webpages. The board you link to is different from our DRV8825 carrier and is not designed by or affiliated with Pololu. - Ryanby RyanTM - For Sale
Hi, aduy. Most likely yes. The microstepping settings are different, which probably requires some kind of reconfiguration. Please refer to the differences at the bottom of the DRV8825 product page. - Ryanby RyanTM - For Sale
Hello. This is Ryan, an engineer at Pololu Robotics and Electronics. I am excited to announce our newest A4988-compatible stepper motor carrier: the DRV8834 Low-Voltage Stepper Motor Driver Carrier. The DRV8834 operates from 2.5–10.8 V, allowing stepper motors to be powered with voltages that are too low for other drivers, and can deliver up to approximately 1.5 A per phase continuously withoutby RyanTM - For Sale
Hello, pastlifeuknow. This isn't a particularly good thread for technical support. I recommend posting your technical questions on the Pololu forum. That said, I do not understand what problem you are facing. What two nets did you expect to measure 12 volts between? - Ryanby RyanTM - For Sale
Hi, all. Thanks for the positive comments Inakto! We recently released a new version of the DRV8825 carrier that adds a resistor between fault and sleep, removing the need to add the external resistor when used where you normally use an A4988 carrier. We also have a version with the DRV8824, which is less expensive and provides less current, but still has 32nd-microstepping and should have betby RyanTM - For Sale
Misan and TopherMan, What Misan says in his last post is not correct. The exposed pads connect SLEEP to 3V3, but the 3V3 line does not turn on unless the board is taken out of sleep mode. We are coming out with a revision to the board that will make it unnecessary to have that external resistor. The not populated pad is for 0603 components. - Ryanby RyanTM - For Sale
Hello, RepRappers. We are excited to have our first, and last, 12/12/12 sale ever! To celebrate this relatively arbitrary confluence of twelves, we are discounting select products to $12, $24, and $36, and we are offering 12% off all other products for orders over $48. DeuxVis, We are trying to get more information about how it is to use the DRV8825 as a substitute for the A4988. We are also interested in general feedback about using the new drivers from experienced users. I've already verified the basic functions of the board in isolation, but it is good to get feedback about how it performs in actual applications, and what, if any, differences or problems arby RyanTM - For Sale
Hello. This is Ryan from Pololu Robotics and Electronics. I am excited to announce the new DRV8825 stepper motor driver carrier, a higher-power alternative to our A4988 drivers that can be used as a drop-in replacement in many applications. The DRV8825 module can deliver approximately 1.5 A per coil without a heat sink (rated for up to 2.2 A with sufficient cooling), and it offers a wider operaby RyanTM - For Sale
Hello. This is Ryan from Pololu Robotics and Electronics. I am excited to announce our new product: the A4988 Stepper Motor Driver Carrier, Black Edition. It is a drop-in replacement for the original driver board with around 20% better performance. The better thermal performance comes from the board being 4-layers instead of 2. More information is available on the product page. - Ryanby RyanTM - For Sale
Hello. It sounds like mikrophemo is talking about clones, not boards actually produced by Pololu. Pololu uses power-input caps with voltage ratings well above the 35V maximum motor supply voltage. - Ryanby RyanTM - Controllers

Hello, This is Ryan from Pololu. I wanted to announce that we are now offering Soyo's SY42STH47-1206A stepper motor for sale. This is the version with the single shaft. From my research on the RepRap Wiki, I saw that the dual shaft is required for one of the stepper motors on the Darwin, and from this RepRap forum post, it seems that the dual shaft is not required on the Mendel.
