the Stepper Motor Driver 2.3 is equivilent of 1 pololu module You use 4 of them.. (Z normally has two steppers on one driver) Or better use something much newer as these are limited to 1/2 and full steps. (obsolete technology)by Dust - Controllers
no endstops.... standard configuration it will not move if endstops are not connected send the printer a M119 command. Any endstops that come back triggered, It will not be able to move in that direction. If you dont intend installing endstops then invert the logic so its always open. eg if X min endstop is showing triggered change X_MIN_ENDSTOP_INVERTING = true; to = false;by Dust - General

If you really dont value your limbs and appendages that much, good luck to you. Ill be keeping myne and turing the machine off for mantanance.by Dust - General
Did a quick test... havent printed it, but looks like it works fine (gcode preview) 3 perimeters, makes it really stand out Not sure what I did with slic3r... but this test didnt generate any t0 or t1 commands.by Dust - General
If im understanding what you want. This is all just a theory at this stage... Set it up as if it was a dual color print. Just dont actulay change the color. I would create two models one with a cut out and one just the inlay Load these into into slic3r and save the resulting gcode as text. Then search the gcode and replace all T1 commands with T0, or potentualy just remove all T1 commands.by Dust - General
what firmware, what configuration.h (use pastebin) Did it really upload? or did you just verify it compiled? How about some clues? The old crystal ball doesnt work like it used to.by Dust - General
The reset button just reboots the sanguino cpu, putting it into bootloader mode If you uploaded a new firmware, you probably changed the baud rate. Check the configuration.h and see what baud rate is set to.by Dust - General
Check your endstops are not shorting 5v to gnd. This will stop a mega dead.by Dust - Reprappers
no mention of electronics... which is where the issue lies Most board have a bunch of jumpers to set micostepping on the stepper driver. On ramps its under the Polulo modules Sounds like you have a missing jumper (or bad solder joint on the jumper pins, or on pololu module, or even missing metal from inside the jumper) Most are configured for 1/16 micosteping, but if one jumper is missingby Dust - Printing
There is no such thing yet You can get mixing extruders like diamond hotend but they are for experimentors. The software and firmware is not ready for anything resembling full color.by Dust - General
Nice zipped PNG as layers is and intersting choice, at full res even black and white.... suspect would be a resionabe size per object Link description to download is wrong on site you show but its (extra e) Link itself is fine.by Dust - Experimental
"each 3200 pulses per second, I get only 4mm/s" standard ramps can do ~67000 max step per second.... if you looks at you can caculate the steps its using, using quad stepping mode (wich is the default)by Dust - RAMPS Electronics
Yes. turn off power supplies (unplug usb also) . pull jumper. check resitance between pins where the jumper would sit. Should be high. A low indicates there is a hidden track shorting it.by Dust - RAMPS Electronics
Transcribe everything from configuration.h and configuation_adv.h to new system Also m503 to display all eeprom settings, copy to text file. And paste into new controller and save with m500 This will get most things.. but if they have added new thirmister tables for eg, you will need to copy those over also... Slic3r setting are stored on the computer and wont change.by Dust - Firmware - mainstream and related support
That looks good. I cant see a question here vref is related to you stepper motors and drivers, wich you havent listed any details for your stepper motors (and they look tiny, but could be big machine) I also have to ask why you have to use full steps, that just uses so much more power is jerky and loud.by Dust - RAMPS Electronics
min endstops are at the minimum end of travel and most I3 type machines only use min endstops.by Dust - Reprappers
looks like bad usb cable... try a shorter one that is shelided.by Dust - General
bluetooth is used by some people. It effectivly just replaces the serial (serial over usb) cable. So you still need a standard control software like pronterface etc. It effectivly just spools gcode to the printer. What is normally done is wire up the bluetooth to one of the unused serial ports on the controller, on the mega (there are 4 serial ports, but you have to move some endstops around toby Dust - General
Step one: hardware, complete. Basicaly working for simple colour switching on layers. Next. fix up the blockage issues and try some simple 2 and 3 colour prints Sometime after that, play with blending!by Dust - New Zealand RepRap User Group
Im just spit balling here off the top of my head, so could be totaly wrong. table would need all values from 0 to 200 in X Y an Z (presuming 200x200x200 build area) even limiting to 2dp (100 points between intergers) thats 20,000 rows, * 3 dimentions = 8,000,000,000,000 rows of data! thats 8 terabytes just for the index. * what ever your datasize your storing.. sure you could optimise thby Dust - Firmware - experimental, borrowed, and future
That jumper is in the wrong poistion to do anything useful. Its normally used to connect VCC to 5v to power the servos PS-ON is a single pin on its own.by Dust - General
Yes, sounds like there is no firmware on the controller yet, so it wont do anything. Any comands you send to it are not received or interpreted by anything..by Dust - Reprappers
You need to update the pins.h for your board... You havent mentioned what board you use so I can't be more spesific. I would guess ramps since it has 3 sets of thermister pins. lines 710 and 719by Dust - Reprappers
Get something like this fan extender Takes 12v from 12v-aux and is sofware controlled fans on D11 And D6 You then just need to update your FAN_PIN in pins.h to D11 or D6 Second fan is a little trickier... (last I looked firmware only supported one fan) but can always be controlled with m42 M42 S(value to be written to pin) P (pin number)by Dust - Firmware - mainstream and related support
Sounds like you dont have external power turned on or working... The board will get 5v from USB and will act like it works. But movement and heating come from the 12v plugged into the ramps board. If you do have 12v plugged in and on. check the board is actuly getting 12. Put a voltage meter over D2 for example. that should always show 12v. Or the 12v aux pins (just behind d2) Is your boardby Dust - Reprappers
@the_digital_dentist 1) dead battery, No most laptops will work fine with a dead battery, just not without power 2) dead power supply Can also happen to reprap 3) other hardware failure Can also happen to reprap 4) bad USB cable/socket Can also happen to reprap (I also include dead SD card socket in here) 5) cat walks across keyboard Get a dog. 6) cat chews through wires Get a second Dogby Dust - General
