Hi People, I had promised a while ago that I would do a last SFACT version. I will most probably be not be maintaining it as slic3r has gotten so good meanwhile.. As there still are some areas where You need the complications of SF/SFACT I have made this last version (hopefully ?) It is based on the lates Beanshell SF of August. I have returned to the SF way of grouping things in the interfaceby ahmetcemturan - Skeinforge
Cooling with a fan is so overrated No really I find it does more bad than good. (warping etc.) But fan or additional cooling for bridges is "cool". Btw: In SF overhangs are detected as bridges and treated as such so You can add your fan command to the bridging part...by ahmetcemturan - Skeinforge

can you upload your file and settings? preferably slic3r. Maybe your vase gets wider to the top and the slicers consider the layer as a bridge layer, overriding your regular width settings...by ahmetcemturan - Skeinforge
Your extrusion width is not suiatble for the distance between the outer walls. You have to decrease the width/height (ratio)by ahmetcemturan - Skeinforge

@spaceman: Hey thanks, I have been trying to figure it out for some days now... I will try to add that detail to the slic3r - windows manual..by ahmetcemturan - Slic3r
@aidenyoung: Hey man You are complaining about something thats actually a bliss... These spools look like they are perfect for reuse... I had to break my spool so I could modify it to take up new non spooled filament.... Then I put it together with tişe wraps..by ahmetcemturan - For Sale
@Asger: I think You should rather clarify the situation.by ahmetcemturan - For Sale
The packing density or e-steps corrector as I call it now is just correcting the flow. About acceleration ratio: please have a look here: It only affects E acceleration and setting a low value l20-30) will make it dominant and give you less pressure in the nozzle and more accurate parts.by ahmetcemturan - Skeinforge
Hi dogi, sadly your calibration seems off. You are overextruding in slic3r and underextruding in SF. Slic3r defaults should give you perfect prints, the reason you seem to get bigger parts is that actually you could have msicalibrated E-steps in FW. In SF you get too few plastic most probably because you are overcompensating with the settings. The prints you are getting in SF have too few plasticby ahmetcemturan - Slic3r
Hardwarekiller: I am the guy who modifed SF to be SFACT. I actively use slic3r myself now. I think that Slic3r is a great piece of software and is covering its shortcomings in an unbelivable pace. It has missing features and probably some mistakes (have not encountered anything vital so far) but bad dimensional accuracy is not one of them. I recently printed an extruder and the fit for the beby ahmetcemturan - Slic3r
You should always delete old profiles with a new version..by ahmetcemturan - Skeinforge
In current SFACT you have the option to specify extra shells for bridge layers. But your main problem is probably that you are using a different flowrate for the bridge layers. So actually you dont have the same width of extrusion specified anymore. And as the aextrusion paths were calculated beforehand SF wont compensate for the slimmer extrusion. So its rather narrower extrusion than shrinkaby ahmetcemturan - Skeinforge
You should increase the minimum move distance after retraction.by ahmetcemturan - Skeinforge

Would you please also post the penultimate-gcode for checking the coordinates. This way I can see what you have produced.. We need to amke sure that the path calculated is wrong.by ahmetcemturan - Skeinforge
Thanks for the nice words There is a plugin called STRETCH. It makes small holes slightly bigger. Nophead's blog has a nice writeup why they come out a bit smaller than they should. STRETCH compensates for that... Nophead about Polyholesby ahmetcemturan - Skeinforge

Does Skeinforge/SFACT wipe not work for you? Also the bed will take much longer to heat up than your hotend. If you would send a command simultanously the hotend would have hetaed up and had to wait for the bed to heat up in a hot state.... Thats not good in two repsects. For the quality of the filament and for the probable oozing of teh hotend during the wait... You will have missing filament aby ahmetcemturan - Skeinforge

Hi, would you please try out the daily branch on git. Having a slow feed will normally not let your bridge sag. Also having the top layer not solid means that your calibration is off (I am assuming that you are printing with SFACT default values and just use the calibration module in DIMENSION) Also During calibration do not use the cool plugin as in some prior versions it was buggy, messing uby ahmetcemturan - Skeinforge
Width over thickness? Thats where SFACT comes in handy. There you can specify how wide your extrusion should be in mm and dont have to tweak anything else.. The extra shells come in handy if you need a rigid shell and the body is tooo fat to make the fill more dense.. Also one very important use is: If you need really precise holes (or other dimensions) and you are willing to rework with a drilby ahmetcemturan - Skeinforge
