Replacement pei sheet for flex plate? - 1 year ago

Could anyone please tell me where the best place to get a replacement pei sheet to go on my flex plate as I've managed to mash my nozzle into my bed. I am looking for 310x310mm I have had a google but the cost of a new pei sheet seems to be only a little less than buying a whole new flex plate with the pei coating Thanks Nikki

I am having problems setting up linear advance v1.5. The printer is calibrated perfectly and without linear advance enabled the prints are really good apart from a few small blobs. I have followed the instructions on the marlin site and watched the video by teaching tech on youtube but after setting it up the top and bottom layers now are not connected to the sides of the test cube. I have temporarily installed this on a old android phone that my sister gave me to fix 2 years ago and i never go round to it It seams to run ok and is perfect till i can get a pi4. Thanks Nikki

I found the fix. I reduced my layer Hight to 0.1000 after closely looking at the preview after slicing i could see that there were gaps.

I am just tuning my ratrig build and it decided to try a vase mode print. The extruder steps are set perfectly and there is good layer cooling the rest of the print is fabulous its just the top shoulders and chest that there is a problem. I am using simplify3d 4.1 Thanks Nikki

I have always used keenovo after I have had problems with the cheaper heaters. I have had a keenovo on my large machine for over 6 years and its used 6+ hours everyday. It is defiantly worth spending on a higher quality heater

raspberry pi alternatives for octoprint ? - 2 years ago

Hi could any one recommend a raspberry pi alternative that has support for octoprint? As we all know there are no raspberry pi's available because of the chip shortage but i am looking to finish my ratrig build and i have been looking for a pi for months. Thanks Nikki

Just fitted the replacement endstop and it has fixed the problem i will brake down the faulty unit to try and find what the fault is Thanks Nikki

I have ordered some replacements hopefully these will work. I have been trying to find out whether I need to pull them up or down. I've always just used micro switches and pulled them up. but am not to sure with the new modules

I have just swapped the plugs and yes the problem moves to the x axis. I did try a spare endstop that i had and that has the same result. i thing i must have a bad batch of endstops

I have a problem with my y endstop always showing triggered. I am using the latest Marlin-bugfix-2.1.x. I have rewired the switch and matched it to the working x axis but it still shows triggered. i swapped the connectors around and it then shows x is triggered. they are the same switch so am lost as to what the problem is I've attached my config file..

Thank You for your reply i was aware of RatOS (Klipper) but i would like to stick with marlin unless someone could tell me that i would have better results using Klipper. I have grabbed the config from the RatOS over the next few days ill try and build a config file for marlin using the the info from the the klipper files. Thanks Nikki

Quotedekutree64 Load it in your favorite 3D modeling program (I use Blender) and make some cubes and use boolean intersect. Thanks Ill see if i can make that work ive never used boolean intersect

I am looking for the best way to cut a model up into serval parts to be able to fit on my print bed. the part i need to cut up is a back panel for a ratrig machine. I have been doing some googling to try and find the most strait forward way to do it but everything i have found is to split multiple septate model parts and not a single large part. could anyone please point me in the right direction

Please could someone clarify the pinning for 4 z steppers on a octopus v1.1 . Obviously the unused extruder pins are used but is it Z,Z2,E0 (Z3),E2 (Z4) Thanks Nikki
