Thank you VDX Is there a wax filament available on the market or do I need to make a cast and then pour wax in?by audiobull - Casting and Moldmaking Working Group
I am wanting to scan a car part for an old vehicle of mine and then get a new one poured at a foundry. Can I scan the item. 3d print it using some sort of filament and then send it off to the foundry? I though this forum section was for just that but I seem to reading posts about injection molding rather then moldmaking.by audiobull - Casting and Moldmaking Working Group
What raspberry pi based 3d scanners are there? You ask like there is loads of scanners out there. I am still looking for one to buy.by audiobull - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
Yes thank you to all those who made the effort in trying to make this work especially DjDemonD and we sorry to let those involved down. If you dont ask, you dont get. It was worth the tryby audiobull - General
Loving these. Bringing some future uses to pellets and recycled plastics. What I really want to find is a cheaper shredder for plastics to make the pellets. At the moment they are industrial and very expensive designs to have made and cut. For say the home user wanting to shred a small water bottle they only need a small shredder to do that, not an expensive industrial shredder.by audiobull - General
Hey I got a car like that. Ill get a piccy when I pick it all up. The idea is we do not be like the ebay companies. MEgg only wanted a few kg. If it was 20-30kg then it is worth looking into, I am not sure if the shipment will come direct to port via hong kong/china etc or if it will stop off.by audiobull - General
Definitely keep us updated. It would be good to know how good they areby audiobull - General
I want to scan a car part roughly 10cm x 10cm x 10cm. I would not say it was extremely complex, A tad rusty but would the bq cyclops be able to scan a car part of this size? I am about to buy one but I am struggling to see some before / during and after scans and prints. Is the camera upgradable also?by audiobull - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
I have a MK2 i3. I wanted another but could not afford it so I have just built a replica using almost all the same parts. Cost was still almost the cost of a MK2 so I was a bit stupid there and should have just got another MK2. I will however be purchasing another MK2 direct from them but my point being if you want reliability you have to pay for it. Even when I made the MK2 replica I never wentby audiobull - General
Going to bump this. Is it actually now complete and shipping? I am thinking of buying one.by audiobull - 3D Scanners, Book Scanners, and Optics
I have a part I would like scanned to .stl or similar for printing. I am Hampshire/UK. Is there anyone that can scan a part for me? A price please. The part is roughly 10cm x 10cm x 10cmby audiobull - Job Shop: I need stuff made!
Is there a good how to, to actually wiring and setting it all up. A newbie when it comes to the wiring. I guess I cannot wire the pinda directly to the mega? The printer is setup and built, I now need to wire it up and setup the software. This is where I now struggle with these types of things.by audiobull - Prusa i3 and variants
This is why it is UK only MEgg However we can get any type of filament they do including the new colour change filaments. NO ONE has yet been able to take on my challenge and find me a roll of Silver ABS 1.75mm Excelvan come on guys and girls have a go at finding some and it will soon become apparent why we want to do this. OR find me some equivalent for the same price in a different brand.by audiobull - General
Yes have been out of stock for some time now and I have been told it will also be a long time until more comes available. I can only assume they use one large warehouse to sell out of. Annoying I really need some silver. 3mm to 1.75mm would be a cool idea but cant see it being cheap if you look at other filastruders.by audiobull - General
I dont understand. Its too early..... coffeeeeby audiobull - General
I agree with the price of 3mm. A reason I did not want to include the 3mm in the group buy. To buy the 3mm is cheaper but there is not much in it in terms of you need to buy 3000 kg's to get 10p per kg sold. It would otherwise be same price in, same price out and maybe a loss with tax and VAT. The idea was to try (the highlight try) and make the availability easier NOT make money or try and beatby audiobull - General
I have a bed that will work with a pinda sensor. Where can they be purchased from that will run from a ramps 1.4?by audiobull - Reprappers
No I guess they wouldn't. Its not so I have no idea who to contact. I would certainly take 5x of a certain colour and say 5 different colours and if its a good price even more and can also help with arrangements and postage but do not think I could manage it on my own. I have no idea how kickstarter works.by audiobull - General
QuoteDjDemonD Perhaps what UK reprappers need to do is play these lot at their own game. Lets organise a group buy, get a container of excelvan filament over in the colours we use, distribute it amongst ourselves, and sell on (accurately and honestly) the rest. Now that I am up for ;-) I had looked but could not find any info on who distributes Excelvan products or how to contact the manufacturby audiobull - General
I thought I would start a list for everyone to add their experience. It would seem many sellers on ebay are all run out of one warehouse which if it is out of stock so is all of them or almost all of them. They sell items which show as in stock but once you buy they message to say to wait a few days as item is not in stock even though it still shows in stock on eBay. This is only for UK as I onlby audiobull - General
Automated rubber band gattling gun?............... now were talking. he he Could I almost make another MK2 prusa minus the Rambo board using the Ramps instead? if I get the frame and rod kit? What would I do regarding the software? I ask as I actually have a complete set of printed parts for a MK2 incase something breaks. I should have added that to the box of bits really.by audiobull - General
Definitely just luck as I had an instant refund without a message from them. However at least it was done straight away. The others have taken at least a day to let me know which has wasted time waiting for filament.by audiobull - General
The large companies all sell from the same warehouse so I have noticed with all my resent purchases from these large companies lately that they show as in stock. 2 days later message saying warehouse did not update the stock level and I get offered a different colour. Usually a colour they have tons of that do not sell. You then later check that day and they still show them as being in stock on eby audiobull - General
Ill also add a few Pi zeros' and some random PI sensors to the list but not sure how they would help build anything.by audiobull - General
Ok so I have accumulated a few bits and bobs over the past few months. I have a prusa MK2 but I also have a list of bits sat here and wanted to make something with it all. I am a newbie sort of to 3d printing. In others I built the printer from a ready made kit rather then from bits and bobs. I have in the bits box. MK2B heat bed.
