Quotecdru Your diodes aren't doing anything. They need to be across the inductive load with the stripe towards the positive lead. There are also several other issues with your circuit. The +12v that you have labeled coming from D8 and D9 are only 5V if you are using the actual pins from the microcontroller. Hi Everyone, I've run into a few unexpected problems with my RAMPS 1.4 board switching external n-channel MOSFETs. My setup is in the attached sketch. I reconfigured the Marlin firmware so that pins D8, D9, and D10 could be used for my purposes, along with making the outputs bang-bang in place of PID. I'm interested in getting quotes related to a project that I'm working on using the RAMPS 1.4 electronics. What is needed is firmware that will function the same as Marlin / Sprinter, with the exception of the extruder E0 / E1 outputs. The output will need to be modified so that when the extrusion event occurs, the outputs will be +12VDC, and when the extrusion event ends, the output should beby zipfactor - Hello. Hi All, I'm working on a project where I'd like to have a constant 12V output from the extruder outputs on the RAMPS 1.4 board during extrusion events. I'm currently trying to sift through the Marlin firmware to determine how much work is going to be involved to modify for my needs, and it seems as though it may be easier to write "add-on" code in place of trying to modify the existing stepperby zipfactor - RAMPS Electronics

It did not begin to blink until the heated bed reached 105C. The led your referring to does light when the heated bed is heating, and is separate from the led that I'm referring to.by zipfactor - General

Hey All, The red led on my prusa with ramps 1.4 electronics blinks while printing. It blinks about as fast as the green led when uploading firmware. Didn't see this when using sprinter firmware, just with the marlin firmware I recently loaded. Any ideas on what this means?by zipfactor - General
