QuoteRalf You could try to lower the retraction speed to 20mm/s just to see if it changes anything, if for some reason the extruder is skipping, when it is un-retracting, you will have under extrusion after every retracts. It looks like that is happening around the hole on the first picture. Ideally you shouldn't use a fan when printing ABS, I use it sometimes, but only at about 20-30% speed, juby TRoager - Printing
QuoteRalf Looks like inconsistent extrution, are you sure that the extruder can do 40mm/s retracts, and that it is not skipping when printing? Also check for gunk in the hobbed bolt. 220 degree is a bit low for ABS, I would try at least 235 degrees, this should advoid delamination, if you are not underextruding too much. Im not sure it can do the 40mm/s for retraction.. but i get no blobs in tby TRoager - Printing

Hmm now im just thinking what about "octoprint" ? maybe we could incorporate an OLED, because its also talking to ramps i guess, and its using the Raspberry PI. What do you think Cefiar ?by TRoager - Controllers
Do you still think its possible with oled display?by TRoager - Controllers
Hello Folks. Do you guys think its possible to find a cheap tft graphic display to create a user interface looking like the UM2 / Zortrax M200 / Replicator 5th gen ? i Really like the concept of the designs, more user friendly and not so boring to look at Hope you guys have some inputs - TRoagerby TRoager - Controllers

You aren't stripping the filament / grinding so its skipping step ? maybe look at the current to the stepper.by TRoager - Printing
Check wiring and maybe check your heater on the extruder. im using a resistor and it gets destroyed alot(because of too low resistance and i dont think its designed for high temp) so i keep replacing it and works afterwards.by TRoager - RAMPS Electronics
Hello There im seeking a seller thats known and have a good printer to do some work for me. The LM8UU have the dimensions 15*24. My bearings are 16*15, they are more smooth and doesn't make a sound. So i was wondering if any of you could create some parts, and print them out for the Prusa i3 with my bearings to fit. Then if you are willing then we can discuss a price. Thanks in Advance.by TRoager - Job Shop: I need stuff made!

Happycamper: What do you do about overgangs and small/thin walls? Im getting okay prints but it could be better. Right now im trying to print some new parts for the printer and a bowden extruder. Maybe that helpsby TRoager - Printing
Happycamper: Okay. Do you print at full speed ? Im printing at 80mm/s and when printing with cura ill have to og Down from 100% to 80% while printing.by TRoager - Printing
Happycamper: Can you Upload before and after print pictures ? And What hotend/extruder do you use ? What layer height?by TRoager - Printing
QuoteOhmarinus I have a problem with Cura where it doesn't print single-wall objects with thin walls like the 20x20 thin wall cube. It has 0.5mm walls and my nozzle size is also 0.5mm The strangest thing is that Cura makes all my prints come out nicer and smarter, but Slic3r does however manages to make more out of thin-walled objects I try to print. With the thin-wall cube, Cura just says prinby TRoager - Printing
jmarasch: Can you post link to the objects you printed for the top z axis holder ? i got a little z wobble too, i found something that helped me alot, but still having some left, maybe those will help. Heres what helped me:by TRoager - Printing
i printed a new object, and looks like i solved the problem. looks like all the problems i have are the slic3r i use. so i changed to Cura and some of my objects seems to be much better and also alittle off. Maybe some of you could help me configuring my slicer (Cura, Slic3r or skeinforge), maybe i should look into some other software than marlin? what do you guys recommend ?by TRoager - Printing
Looks like i solved the problem for now, im waiting for it to be done. I had to wait because i were missing some filamentby TRoager - Printing
My hotend is a RESCO Hotend, made it my selv on a machine so should be perfect. Resco Hotend i got a fan on the cold end (thermal barrier). All metal hotend ofc. ill try tomorrow and print another model and see if i still get itby TRoager - Printing
Oh sorry about that. Its the bubbling from the middle and up It starts quite Nice with good layers. I tried with external perimeters and doesnt seem to do it but i havent printed any large objects yetby TRoager - Printing

Hello Folks. i just got started with my printing and was wondering if some of you could help me. Errors in the past: Z-Wobble Low Temp on Bed Extruder stripping filament. All these errors should be fixed now. i got correct bed temperature and my Z-wobble is almost gone ( Looks much better now) and the filament stripping should be gone now. now im onto a new problem. QuoteDala.horse The new PC power supplies that are "Haswell" compatible completely removes all the question marks that plagued older ATX power supplies. For instance the Corsair CX430 is capable of supplying a very small 12V load only. The internal architecture makes the old demand of minimum loads on all voltages obsolete. Snipped from the data sheet: +12 V max 28 A, +5 V max 20 A, total loadby TRoager - RAMPS Electronics
Hmm i see. then i have to get another one i guess. ill get an industrial when i can afford one in the new year, right now every penny is gone for this yearby TRoager - RAMPS Electronics
Uncle_bob: Its an server psu thats rated at 350 and im going to get a heated bed and the mentioned resistor. What if the resistor are 20 ohm instead? Thats the closest i Got. Else i have to buy some heater cartridges.by TRoager - RAMPS Electronics
