How do I do that? I thought the web interface was written into the firmware..

Connected!
Edit - Now I am trying to tune the motor current by editing the Config.g file through the web interface, but everytime I go to "Apply Settings" I get an error saying:
"An AJAX error has been reported, so the current session has been terminated.
Please check if your printer is still on and try to connect again.
Error reason: Unknown message type or not authenticated"

first of all can you connect through usb and pronteface ? secondly did you changed the gateway too or only the ip of the printer? does ur utp cable work? when you plug it in the printer does the leds on the utp port switch on ?
you can edit the config file through the web interface.
Yea, I was able to connect through Repetier Host and move the motors a bit. I matched the Gateway to t

So I have been trying to connect to my RepRapPro Duet 0.6 and can't seem to get anything to work. Right now I have uploaded dc42's latest fork of the Reprap Firmware and loaded the necessary files to SD card. Ideally, I would like to be able to connect to the printer via my browser (Chrome). I have the printer connected directly to the wireless router I have for my apartment. My understanding

Not to get too off-topic, but can you do a master/slave set-up with a RAMPS? I know you can for a Melzi, but I've never seen it done for a RAMPS.

Im finishing up getting mine together. I added an E3D, Duet 0.6, and DC42 IR probe, so I'm hoping I dont run into any problems on that front. I am a bit worried about the wheels. They look like shower door wheels...

You are probably going to need a pretty thick enclosure... I think your best bet would be to run a thermal analysis and vary the material material thicknesses to see how feasible it is. I would take a look at mountaineering jackets for inspiration. Or just A LOT of foam insulation...

I'm pretty sure they use Chinese clone hotends, so be ready to get a new hotend when it dies. In the long run it's worth it anyway.

I have a bunch of ReprapPro Ormerod kits I'm looking to sell. PM me if you're interested.

I didn't think there were any kits available for CoreXY builds. Plans and designs sure, but kits and therefore the option to buy printed pieces, not so much.
If you do find plans / models for a design you would like to build from scratch, I imagine that you could get the parts printed from a local hackerspace, your public library, or 3D Printer Hubs.

You can get a groove mount from either www.hotends.com or www.filastruder.com depending on if you go with a J-head or and E3D, respectively.
I built a coreXY using v slot and it is pretty nice stuff. I'm working on changing my cantilevered bed to a 3 lead screw bed now, but when I'm done I going to start a thread for it while I make it all nice and pretty.

I've never seen independent x AND y axis, but there was a printer on Kickstarter not too long ago that had dual x carriages and could print 2 of the same object at the same time.
I'd be curious to see the mechanical side of 2 independent x and y axis. I can't think of a way to do it without interfering with one another.

I remember reading on the OpenBuilds site that the V-wheels can not take as much weight as the solid wheels. Whether or not that is a design constraint for a 3D printer depends on the size of the printer. But I would say if the V is not needed for the design, you would be better off with solid wheels like this (doesn't have to be purchased from OpenBuilds):
Just a thought.

Pretty sure you'll have a hard time reaching temps where PLA has a low enough viscosity to pour like a liquid.

No, that won't work with a Duet as it's designed for RAMPS - there's only 1 display that works with the Duet, and that's the one designed by dc42. It's more expensive, but it's also far more useful!
However, a display isn't really required unless you have a specific need, as the web interface is more than adequate for normal use.
OK. That's what I figured.

I'm finishing up building my Mini Kossel kit and I am planning on using Duet 0.6 board. However, the kit came with an LCD screen, specifically this one:
Is it possible to use this LCD with the Duet 0.6? I seems to be similar to the PanelOne, but an exact copy so I'm not sure.

I bought a Bulldog XL clone from Robotdigg a few months ago. I haven't used it yet, but their parts are usually pretty good quality.

So I have got a bunch of partial Ormerod kits I just bought from the RepRapPro guys and I want to make sure I get all the remaining parts I need before I start putting them back together.
Is there a complete BOM anywhere? I didn't see one in the Github or on their website. I closest thing I found was the list of needed materials at the beginning of each step in the assembly instructions.

Hello everyone.
I recently built myself a corexy system. For some reason when I move the X axis the Y axis will also move. The Y axis moves fine. It is only when i try to move the X axis that the Y also moves. When I for example tell the X axis to move 100mm it only moves 75mm and the Y axis moves the other 25mm.
Any help?
Check your belt tension.
You can also play around

Make sure you have your Vref adjusted properly (via the potentiometers on your board). It sounds like your extruder motor isnt getting enough current.
You should probably also tune your PID settings and cross check the temp readings from your hotend thermistor with an IR temperature reader.

Start with a web search. Look for your local scrap yards and pay them a visit. They are always happy to see people who want to buy stuff. Bring cash and some tools. You may have to dismantle whatever it is that has the 8020.
I've looked into scrap yards in my area (NYC), but it seems all of the only buy. Don't sell. Is that typical, or is it just something they don'

As a daily Solidworks user, I'd suggest OnShape. Though I haven't used it heavily, I'd imagine it is slightly different form Solidworks UI-wise, but knowing how intuitive Solidworks is to use I would imagine it would be pretty straight forward to pic up after a few tutorials.
You can probably get around the storage limits but exporting your parts, saving locally, then importing next time you us

Hmm. ok. I just ordered your sensor board through Filastruder the other day, so the combined board is a little to much for me. I think I may just make my own basic breakout board so I can control the size. It looks like both you and T3P3 use pretty standard connectors, correct? Have you ever run into any problems with the current in the heater wires melting the connectors?

Does anyone use a breakout board for their hotend carriage? I'm thinking it will make wiring and interchanging hotend easier, but not sure which connectors and wire will be sufficient.
