Decided to make a new 3d printer... - 11 years ago
Decided to strip my old 3d printer of its parts the other week and set about designing a new one from scratch. I have not yet plugged it in as I am in the process of printing mk2 of the table carrier (Mk1 had smaller bearings hoping to reduce the hanging weight however the bearings didn't seem suitable so went for the larger ones in mk2) however by next weekend I am hoping for it to be up an runnby N16k - Look what I made!

The cabinet was to keep the dust out really as it was going to be located in a workshop, but can also be there to keep the temp inside a bit more stable. Also that X axis was on the list of improvements as I have been told that already lol, cheers for mentioning it though, shouldnt be too hard to get rightby N16k - Look what I made!

Not sure if this is in the correct place, please move if so. Anyway, before Christmas I decided i wanted a reprap after wanting one for a while. As I like well built solid things I didnt really like most of the home make repraps so decided to design an build my own. So ordered the reprap mendel parts and went about designing a new frame and parts an this is how it turned out what do you think?by N16k - Look what I made!

Hi, i have a reprap mendel, For some reason whether its a large or small object im making on the last few passes of the part it starts skipping and begins to lay down half on and half off the top of the job. any idea why this is happening? ive slowed down the travel speed between layers so the motors are not skipping an loosing its position but it stil happens. Any help appreciated. Im using theby N16k - General

Not sure if this is in the correct section, please move if so. Anyway I've just built my rep rap Mendel, I've got the standard printerface software. Unfortunately the temperature of the hot end isn't quite hot enough to produce a steady stream of PLA so it does a tiny bit then stops feeding through as the pla isnt quite hot enough. My question is how do i set a new temperature that the machine rby N16k - General
