My current thought is an anycubic kossel upgrades with a duet wifiby veryevil - General
Hi, not trying to cause a flame war or anything but I'm looking at getting a new printer and I love the idea of a delta but very few companies offer them. Nearly all of them make core xy or similar. Is there some reason I don't know of why the seem to have limited availability. I don't want to go that route if they have lost popularity. The speed of a delta interests me greatly but I can onlyby veryevil - General
Hi, I'm looking to design a new case for my old duet 0.6 on my Ormerod 2 and wondered if anyone had made a 3D model of the duet board before I start? Thanks Stevenby veryevil - Duet
Have you though about any adjustment for the Y-Axis to remove twist from build plate? Possibly some adjustment in the front rod on left and right side?by veryevil - Ormerod
Interesting, not thought of that. Mine is an omerod 2 so using cheap Chinese supply not ATX supply. I do have a trapezoidal rod for my z axis and I did completely rework my z axis to be behind the linear rod. I thought keeping the rod and screw in line would help with bed level and squareness but I think it's made the end of my X axis prone to vibrations. Currently printing a whole new z axisby veryevil - Ormerod
Belt tension, acceleration and jerk settings, under and over extrusion, speed. Think it's mechanical wabble of the xaxis at the moment.by veryevil - Ormerod
Hi, I'm getting really bad banding on the walls of my print. What would you suggest I fix / change? Thanksby veryevil - Ormerod
Hi, which OEMs use the duet? Thanks.by veryevil - Duet
Hi, doesn't have to be a kit OEM ones would be fine. Will have a look at the ones mentioned.by veryevil - Duet
Hi, I have been looking at getting a new printer and possibly one for work but I've been spoilt by the duet in my ormerod and all the printers I can find have poor 8-bit controllers in. Was looking at the CR-10 but that's doesn't even have bed leveling without recompiling without SD card support. Have you partnered with any one or know of somewhere that offers Kit with a duet as standard?by veryevil - Duet
Looking to put a thermocouple on my duet on my ormerod 2. Still running a duet 0.6 with DC42's Version2 differential IR board. I assume I will have to put the hot end fan back to the duet and only use the IR board for z sensor control. Guess the new mini IR board might be useful. Anything else worth knowing about? Thanks Stevenby veryevil - Duet
Arrived today in one piece. Thanks for the quick response and postage. Haven't checked them against my printer but they look right. Thanks!by veryevil - Ormerod
Hi, I've gone and snapped the Y-Axis acrylic end plate near the motor and that's left me with a dead printer. Any one know where I can get a new one or has anyone got any better solutions. I've got metal upgrades everywhere else! Cheersby veryevil - Ormerod
Hi, can I ask what PHY is used on this? Also any idea when schematics will be available? Thanksby veryevil - Duet
Excited about this as the Duet WiFi always seemed like a very expensive update to my Duet 0.6! Buy this seems more reasonable. Will the price increase after the "Kickstarter" like campaign has ended? I'm gonna have to wait until there are some EU boards in stock as shipping form the states will kill the price. Also are there any plans for a sub-populated version with 3 or 4 stepper drivers fby veryevil - Duet
Thanks that is perfect!by veryevil - Delta Machines
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had modelled the XXL kossel 2040 aluminium vertices like the ones from RobotDigg? I'm interested in designing my printer virtually first but didn't spot any files after a search around. If possible step files would be very handy. Thanksby veryevil - Delta Machines
Hi what would postage be to the UK? Cheersby veryevil - For Sale
Hi, has anyone got any recommendations to solve the below. My outer perimeters aren't sticking. Infill and inners are fine so overall strength is good but outer looks badby veryevil - Ormerod
This is much better layer and fill adhesion but there must be a perimeter issue. They have lifted and caused a bowl also the fill doesnt go far enough out.by veryevil - Ormerod
Hi, I've got 0.65mm layer height. Will have to check other stuff. I have just made a huge improvement to it by blocking up the fan duct pointing at the work. My duct splits a single fan into two, part going to head and part going to the work. I've filled the work half with blu-tack to stop the airflow and its bonding much much better. It looks like there is still a fill to perimeter issue butby veryevil - Ormerod
Hi, I'm trying to use a 0.8mm nozzle on my ormerod 2 with a Chinese E3D V5/V6 clone on. I'm using 1.75mm PLA and I've upped the temp to 230,lowered the speed slightly and changed the path widths and things like that but I'm having a lot of issues with layer bonding. Any time the run is of any length it just lifts. Short sections when the nice line is placed quickly after the first work well bby veryevil - Ormerod
Looks really good. I've been watching this since the start and it's great to see it Print. Keep up the good workby veryevil - Look what I made!
I print PLA straight onto glass I use bed temp of 70 first layer then 65 for the rest. Extruder temp of 205 for first layer and 195 for the rest. I also coat the glass bed with extra hold cheap hair spray. It works an absolute treat. Got the hair spray from Super-drug Good luckby veryevil - Ormerod
Hey, congrats. Where are you located? got any pictures?by veryevil - For Sale
I dont see WiFi being an issue. Its only a viewing portal and not the control interface. It doesnt need to stream G-Code to the machine only allow you to view what its doing. Some extra latency on that if it is increased at all isn't going to affect a print. Even dropping connection a few times shouldn't mess things up unless you need to emergency stop. I guess as long as there is a physical emerby veryevil - Duet
To be honest I just assumed since the controls were there there must be a reason. I thought that some machines would be capable of higher speeds and thought mine must be struggling if it only did the lowest. I'll have this do some speed tests for printing because at the min I run at about 50mm/s and if I use the speed control on the web interface it tends to cock up at 130%by veryevil - Ormerod
Hi, I'm using DC42's latest code branch on an Ormerod 2 with the stock 0.5mm nozzle and extruder (not quick-set). I'm also using DC42s diff IR board and single piece fan mount. I've lifted my z axis to 10mm and set the temp to 210 deg C and then using the Web interface I am using the extrude buttons to check out my extruder using PLA. If I go above 10mm/s feed rate I get slippage and there seemby veryevil - Ormerod
