OK look's like I had core xy enabled. I misunderstood this setting I thought that one of them had to be enabled for the printer to work. Need to do some reading on core type's. Everything seam's to be working now, so on to calibration and the some fine tuning. So thank you Dust for the help.by romon - Controllers
I have a prusa i3 home built printer that I had working with a ramp's mega combo controller board. Ive switched it over to a Rambo mini board, and have everything working? , but when I try to move the X or Y axis + or - both axis move. Also when I try to home X or Y both move at the same time and the Z axis move's up sharply and stop's and the stepper motor whine's loudly. I believe that I have aby romon - Controllers
I bought a roll of cork, used to make cork pin board's. Comes in differnt thickness and fairly cheep. Can be found at most hardware or craft store's. I cut it to size. then used high temp gasket sealer, used on auto parts, to glue it on the bottom of the heatbed.by romon - General
Ok have you got your printer to print yet? Have you set the bed to hotend gap to the right hight, print bed level? What software are you using to setup the hardware part of your printer, that you use to set the type of hardware you have, your steps for your motors ect? I use Marlin, what do you use for your firmware? marlin, sprinter, teacup ect to setup and calibrate your printer.by romon - Printing
Had the same problem with a print for the Inmoov robot the letters where backwards, turns out that one of my endstops was reversed.by romon - Printing
I have not been able to find the manual that came with your printer, but when you bought your printer did all the software come on a setup disk? In your firmware, Sprinter, Marlin ect., not sli3er or pronterface, what value do you have your hotend theristor setting set at? When you are trying to use your printer in pronterface when you turn on your hotend dose it show the correct temp? Did thisby romon - Printing

Ok what kind of printer do you have? From your vid I think you have some type of the reprap mendel? Is it a kit or self build. Need some info about your printer before I/we can help much. But for a start google for whatever type of printer you have and read and read it again then ask for help.by romon - Printing
Its hard to see from the vid but is the extruder extruding any filiment? When you calibrated your printer, did your extruder put out filiment? When you told it to extrude 20mm of filiment did it feed 20mm or whatever you told it to during setup? The bed height dose look to be a bit too high, but it seems to me that there is not much filiment coming out. As for the springs they are so you can chanby romon - Printing
Some of the Inmoov parts and other things that Ive printed. Got some black abs filiment in last week been doing a little printing with it, mostly some parts for a Kossel Mini, looking good so far. Well that it for now.by romon - Robots!
Ive been working on printing one. Printed the finger starter, now to get it hooked up to the computer and working. And I have the right hand and some of the forearm done, just three more parts for the forearm and get it put together, I think Ill use it for the power glove. Then Ill start to print the inmoov for real. Will post some picks maybe this weekend.by romon - Robots!
I choose to build the I2 for my first 3d printer. It seems to have the most documentation for it. But there is still a big learning curve that goes with building one. But for me I thought that is the best way to learn about them is to build it yourself. But if you think that youll build one in a couple of days or weeks and have it go ok probley not. But if your ready to read and read a lot its noby romon - General Mendel Topics
I had the same problem with my Y axis belt. For a quick fix I used a spring from a clothes pin and bent it to take up the slack in the belt and used some small zip ties to hold it on the belt. Just make shure to place it where it wont hit anything. Just a quick fix until you can tighten it right.by romon - Printing
Ok found the problem, me. I took off that ramps board that I did the hack on and was going to put on the other one, to get good voltage readings, and after I got everything hooked back up the heatbed started working? Two things I hate is when something dosent work right and I dont know why, and when things start working and I dont know why? Got to thinking about it, and when I did the hack on theby romon - General Mendel Topics
No hotend works just fine. Went ahead and did the hack on one of my ramps boards and still have the same problem. Its not so much that the heatbed is so much shutting down the ps but that it dosnt power it up like when I turn on the hotend. When I trun on the hotend the fan on the ps speeds up as it puts out more power the supply the hotend an it starts to get hot. When I trun on the heatbed thby romon - General Mendel Topics
Been doing some reading. And to fix this I should desoder both of the yellow PTC fuses and replace them with wire that will fit. Then on the 12V power input wires from the power supply to the ramps install the white plastic fuse holders with 15 amp automotive fuses? Seems that there is a problem with the ramps not being able to handle the current in high demand. Looks to be a easy fix if this isby romon - General Mendel Topics
Ok moved the fan so it blows right on the fuses ect and the room temp was about 65 ferenhet. No go. Ive slowed down my print speeds earlyer so I dont think anything should be working that hard. Cant belive that two ramps boards could go bad at such low temp. If so maybe I should try some other board if ramps has such a flaw. So what next cant think of anything else to try other than order new parby romon - General Mendel Topics
No not after a disabled the temp settings for the bed in sli3r and made a new gcode for the part I was trying to print without the heatbed on. Before the heatbed quit working, when I would turn on the heatbed or hotend on in pronterface the ps fan would speed up. But after it quit working when I try to run the heatbed it would shut down the ps and I would have to turn off the heatbed then dissconby romon - General Mendel Topics
Ive had a lot of luck on my heated bed, printing on glass, using blue painters tape and then a shot of hairspray.by romon - General Mendel Topics
Ok replaced the hot end rechecked all wiring, after taking eveything apart and looking for anything that could be a problem. could find nothing wrong. Hooked the heatbed up to the Xbox ps and works. Got everything back together and all looking good. Turned on the heatbed to heatup and it came up to temp then swiched off temp started falling. Cannot get to switch on to warm up, the temp read rightby romon - General Mendel Topics
Ive been printing some with my printer and the part are looking good. So I started printing the ImMoov finger starter. Shut down for the night and when I was going to print the next day the heatbed wouldnt come on. Left it untill today and the wiring looked good, and rechecked every setting I could think of and everything looked to be ok. so redid the wiring and put on a new ramps board, got everby romon - General Mendel Topics
As the other have stated check that you have three jumper under your stepper driver on you ramps board the adjust you turnpots on the driver until you get the right voltage. I had to put jumper under the y , x and e drivers to get them to work but none under the z driver, it seemed to cut the voltage down too much seeing the the z driver runs two motors on the ramps board I got. As for the extrudby romon - General Mendel Topics
Ok sodered the no 2 and 3 points together, then insulated the bottom of the bed with cork glued on with high temp gasket sealer. Got everything back together and a big differnce. Took the bed 30 to 40 minutes to get up to temp and only half the bed getting hot. Now it only took 3 to 4 minutes and the whole bed hot. What a diffrance doing things right makes. Should be able to print some tomarow aby romon - General Mendel Topics
Yes that what I was thinking after reading some today and looking at some pics on Google images. I have it wired from the ramps board and sodered to the 1 and 2 points, wich I understand is only providing power to half the board. So I will connect the 2 soder point to the 3 and should have power to the whole board. But what little printing Ive been doing looks good. A little more fine tuning andby romon - General Mendel Topics
Half of my heatbed dosent get very hot at all, and Ive had problems with edge lifting loose from printbed and sometimes parts come loose on the half that dosent get hot. The other part no problem so as of now I can only print something on the hotter part of the bed. I have the black MK2a heatbed, and Im using a Geteck 12v 29A DC swiching power supply. And I have it wired to the no. 1 and 2 soderby romon - General Mendel Topics
Did my first print today after a month of problems. Read my other post on that. Printed the 20X20X10mm cube. And it printed ok. Need to fine tune the settings some. It printed out at 20.28X20.10X9.69 with a bit of a rim around the bottom and seems to be wider at the bottom than the top. Printed on glass using hairspray, seemed to stick good. All in all a good first print. Tryed to post pics butby romon - Printing

Problem solved, did my first print today. After working on this problem for over a month, I knew that it was one of three possable problems. 1. extruder/hotend. 2. software/settings. 3.ME. Got to looking at the Temperature sensor settings. Had the old settings at, # define TEMP_SENSOR_0 55 # define TEMP_SENSOR_1 0 # define TEMP_SENSOR_2 0 # define TEMP_SENSOR_BED_51 Changed setting for sensoby romon - General Mendel Topics
