Hello Everyone: Just wanted to let you know about a open source car company by the name of Local Motors, who for which I currently work. Over the years many people have made plans and talked about making an open source car, but LM has actually done it with the Rally Fighter! Viktor, Thanks for the cool 3D-pdf example. Over the last few days I have been playing around with several 3D-pdf software trial versions and I've got to say I'm pretty impressed with the whole concept. I can certainly see this format being used to quickly communicate design ideas. Hey jkelso, My name is Isaac (no relation to the RepStrap of the same name). I'm the team leader and - so far - the sole member of the Columbus team. Because of the preliminary nature of the design (and my own inexperience with 3D printers) I wasn't planning on adding any new members for quite some time. Quotetesla893 I think having them not solid smooth walls would further save on material and will make the printer easier to repair. Good idea. I kept a thin membrane in the center of the panels to add some extra torsional "stiffness", to trap fumes before they're piped off, and also to create a nice controlled build environment to prevent part warping. Embedding 3D models into Team wikis - 13 years ago
Does anyone know if there is a way to embed a 3D model into a wiki page? I was thinking that there is no better way to communicate what our teams are trying to do than provide a simple model for people to play with in their browser. Google makes it easy to embed any 3D Warehouse model into a normal web page (see my example). However, when I put the same code into my wiki I get: [ sketchup.googleby Isaac Olson - Kartik M.
