I like Autodesk 123d Design, but lack of import is a bummer. Not a big deal to me, cause I have been mainly making my own stuff. Love that they have an iPad version too so I can edit on the go.by lotw - 3D Design tools
I was thinking of ordering some too to test, but when I can get free or $5 shipping on a 2.2lb roll, couldn't see paying almost triple that.by lotw - General
Then I looks like minor z wobble, I had that problem with mine and too me several attempts to lower it. Basically I just repositioned the leadscrews so that they didn't wobble as much. There are some different ideas and models floating around on thingiverse that help with z wobble. I ended up making custom motor/leadscrews couplers myself.by lotw - General Mendel Topics
Does the banding match the grooves on your leadscrews?by lotw - General Mendel Topics
Is that file something on thingiverse? I'll give it a shot and see if I can and what settings.by lotw - General
I have the Lulzbot AO-101 and the Budapest 2.0 nozzle and I have had no problems with the filament sticking to the bed. I use the PET and lulz juice and sometimes it sticks too well. I mainly print in ABS but I have printed 2.2# worth of PLA also without troubles. What I have found is that height from the bed and brand of filament, and extruder temp are the most important factors. Not all filby lotw - Printing
You could always se the Lulzbot AO-101, it's a modified mendalmax 1.5 and they have the complete BOM and printed parts available Ohmarinus Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It seems the original BOM isn't updated anymore, > but in the STL's there are changes made that > require a bit more clarification. The Lulzbot AO-100/101 uses Wades extruder and it can use both 3mm and 1.75mmby lotw - Plastic Extruder Working Group
Here are two photos that I took when I had lines in my prints. After I redid the way the two z couples where attached to the motors and lead screws it fixed the problem.by lotw - Printing
I removed the z axis couplers from both motors and lead screws. Removed glass from bed. Leveled and re-attached the couplers. Made sure that the lead screws where the same height was the hardest. I am trying to design better couplers, the ones they use are now that great. To hard to get aligned. Took me several tries to get it working with as little wobble as I could. One you attach run thby lotw - Printing
That's z axis wobble. Make sure your z threaded rods are aligned and not wobbling heavily. Mine where wobbling pretty good and I reset them myself and got them to move slightly. Designing now z couplers that might help me next time.by lotw - Printing
There are quite a few. On the Lulzbot forums they have some for both their AO-101 and their new Taz which could probably be easily modified to your printer.by lotw - Reprappers
I would like to know about at too. I have had good luck with hairspray if the parts are small or fast printing. Anything that takes a while the corners lift and sometimes leaves the bed and sticks to e nozzle.by lotw - Printing
I have ordered from them lots of times and have had no issues. His site does not update when shipped and stuff usually takes 3-5 days to get if you live in the US.by lotw - General
Digital calipers are a must for,3d printing.by lotw - General Mendel Topics
My old method of just hairspray and abs juice worked pretty good till I tried printing parts that took a long time of where pretty tall. I am interested in this thread cause it would be nice not to have to purchase PET, which I just did. Of coarse with you selling it at 5 for $15 it's not bad of a price. PET is thicker than kapton on a little more durable so it should last for quite a few prinby lotw - Reprappers
Yes but depending on the parts used you may have to use plumbers tape on the threads.by lotw - Reprappers
Should level the bed and set nozzle when both are at normal running temp. I didn't do that the first few times I used my printer and had nothing but issues.by lotw - General Mendel Topics
We actually just need glass or another surface that has 0.05mm or 0.1mm dimples or holes in it arranged in a grid pattern. I saw one machine that was using that type of idea and they used nothing to print any abs or PLA.by lotw - Reprappers
Measured your filament in several places, averaged and inputed into your slicing program. Having the wrong number in there will have the slicing program calculate the amount of filament wrong, too much or not enough.by lotw - General Mendel Topics
Your extruder is calibrated right? Meaning that when it gets told to extrude 100mm at what it does? If that is correct what are you printing with, ABS or PLA? What temps? Yu might also want to print a 20mm or 40mm square and measure, making sure when completed you measure the x,y, & z. If wrong then fix in firmware. Maybe your z axis thinks its going up less then it thinks. I have a 0.by lotw - General Mendel Topics
I was thinking the same thing as you but from what I found it will cost you slightly more in the long run for 2.2lbs of filament buying the smaller rolls. eBay and amazon have smaller rolls and if its 1.75mm. Octive sells smaller rolls either from their site or Amazon, buy costs more then a 2.2lb roll.by lotw - Wanted
I have good luck with Rainbot 3d. The price is good and shipping is reasonable. Most took about 2-4 days from order date.by lotw - Wanted
You could be slightly off in your extruder calibration and laying down too much plastic. Overtime on some objects or solid you will get problemsby lotw - Slic3r
That wouldn't work too well for that purpose. A treadmill type would works great for doing lots of parts. All 3d printed parts using FFF have to stick to a bed and print layer by layer. It could be done with the right engineering but not cost effectively. Would be easier to build a larger machine, but the larger you go the more change of peeling, especially with ABSby lotw - Developers
Also not that cheap. You can build one or buy one for less.by lotw - General
Solidoodle is no different quality wise as a reprap. All FFF printers can with the right calibration and parts can print the same. No matter which one you buy, unless it is a cubex, replicator 2, or Lulzbot will require calibration and or building. If you feel comfortable building your own and are not afraid to read and ask questions then build your own from a kit.by lotw - General
Yes it can be done. There are several videos on YouTube showing it. I have seen the Lulzbot do it from several different peopleby lotw - General
Ok, I fixed it. I removed both lead screws and reseated them. Now prints are coming out like thisby lotw - General
