If you have ever worked around molten metal, you will decide very quickly that you want the kiln outside or in a fireproof environment with a lot of air flow. Are you aware that even a teaspoon of moisture in the metal you are melting can result in a very destructive explosion. Yea, you need that on your desktop. Finally up and running. Calibration cube shows high z dimension. How is the z axis adjusted. X and y are fine.by cwaa - Delta Machines

If you look at the triangles formed, no matter what direction you choose, it's opposite a 2060 in that direction.by cwaa - Delta Machines

The effector still crashes into the bed on auto calibration, but G30 works independently. So still something wrong! I don't know if I have the firmware set up correctly or the Orion just doesn't work! I can't be the first one to use it with Duet.by cwaa - General

I have the Orion working somewhat. With the settings shown below when I send G30 it moves very slowly from home (450mm) and eventually senses the bed and then moves up to 10mm. I have manually measured the 10mm and it is right on. How can I speed up the movement prior to probing? BUT, when I use auto configuration the effector crashes into the bed. So I am still doing something wrong. Any iby cwaa - General

I have a Piezo 20 on my cartesian and love it. I have just completed a large delta and I bought an Orion module for it. The first module failed and I returned it. Now with the new pcb my printer locks up. Does anybody have experience with the Orion on a Duet board? I am about to give up on the Orion.by cwaa - General

My Delta build was $700. (330 mm x 450mm) Every thing on it is one of the best you can buy. You cannot buy one with the same quality and options. Most kits come with the very cheapest components and are mostly crap for production printing. If you want some examples take a look at:by cwaa - General

Why does there need to be an alternative? Why use a process that doesn't work. Its a waste of time and resources. We have spent trillions on stupid green and climate projects that have failed. BUT, they were peer reviewed...……….. How did science survive 80 years ago before peer review.by cwaa - General

I have used one hot end for almost 3 years without a clog. It wasn't made my E3D though. I have a new delta and have the e3dv6 hot end mounted. I will see how things go. I almost bought another Prometheus but decided to try and e3d. I hope it wasn't a mistake.by cwaa - General

The probe red led will not come on no matter the adjustment. It used to but not anymore. Maybe too many crashes or slamming into the towertops?by cwaa - General
