@ sungod3k The first time that you are extruding the recycled plastic it will have been melted/processed (degraded) 3 times, you bump it up to 4 times on your first pass through. This paper has a lot of good data for the DIY recycled ABS. Findings: After the first injection mouldings, minor decreases (ca. 2.0 %) in the tensile strength were observed. Assembly tip: (Depends on the application. My experience is based on using precision low profile miniature bearings with zero play, and was typically a PITA.) If you decide to use four bearings (good idea for three bearings as well), place a layer of cellophane tape between the bearing and the table. Only one of the rails is the guide rail (2 bearings typical), the second rail is a follower (1 bearing typical). Adding more bearings is done to handle additional loads. You can review catalogs of bearing suppliers for examples.by A2 - General

I recall that there is/was a patent law in which the patent holder after discovering a violation of their patent can wait no longer than 6 or 7 years? before they can file a suit. @ Rad Racer If it fits your budget, I would love to see the major components anodized gold with blue anodized fittings. That's what I do on production equipment, looks cool! Be sure to plug threaded holes, and the like with plastic slugs. Take a look at racing engines for color schemes. Love the direction that you are taking! +1 A2by A2 - General

I deleted most of my CAD data files on Thingiverse. I'll keep a few on there so I can monitor the site. We need a truly Open Source repository. I would like to see RepRap get behind one site (or be that site), and make it thee place to go to share CAD data files.by A2 - General

@ Saurabh Lanje It might be simpler to use decorative aluminum C-channel and angle stock to mount and align the motors and worm drive. You could also use PVC channel/angles (guttters?) or wood to create a box structure to mount the hardware. This would allow you to support the end of the worm and the worm wheel. At minimum I would suggest adding a cross bar to the top of the two worm wheelsby A2 - Polar Machines, SCARA, Robot Arms
