What is a "FOSS tool chain solutions"? Every thing is pointing me to use a Smoothieboard on a multipurpose machine. Does Smoothieboard have a HDMI input, I can't find what type of video inputs it has? If you could extrude solder in a controlled manner like a plastic filament, you would have solved some pretty tough physics problems, and have achieved a 3d metal printer.by A2 - General

A more efficient method was found by using a Staples(R) brand office shredder which was designed for the shredding of credit cards and compact discs. This proved to be much more time and energy efficient and avoided the use of water. A used shredder was found at a local Value Village for $24.99. RecycleBot v2.2, Michigan Tech. Quotenicholas.seward Guitar tuners are used to tension the system and to adjust the tilt of the gantry. The gantry can't get accidentally tilted. Nice, the cables are in an anti-racking configuration. For those who are older, and were taught drafting with a pencil and paper, the cable routing is reminiscent of that used on the horizontal bar used to draw straight parallel lines.by A2 - Developers
Searched for Suppression capacitor, pulled this up... Safety and EMI/RFI suppression film capacitors EMI suppression capacitors are used to suppress any noise from an electronic device by reducing the input impedance of the device. These capacitors are divided into 2 classifications, X and Y. X class capacitors are capacitors that are connected line to line and in the event of failure ofby A2 - Safety & Best Practices

OP has described a coating, not a lubrication. There are Teflon impregnated aluminum rods. But a Teflon spray coating with steel ball bearings riding over it would fail very fast. Why does the motor stall during no load testing? The motor needs inertia roughly equal to its own inertia to accelerate properly. Any resonances developed in the motor are at their worst in a no-load condition. What are the options for eliminating resonance? This would most likely happen with full step systems. Adding inertia would lower the resonant frequency. Friction would tend to dampen theby A2 - Stepper Motors, Servo Motors, DC Motors
