The new version permanently sends M103-commands for retraction even though the option is deselected.by Treito - Duet
I undersized my cooling a little bit or to be more precise: probably my fan outlet is too far away. Okay that was my first design, I am no trying to print the second one. But I saw something interesting: It seems there are two types of PLA out there: One type does not need much cooling (eSun/NuNus/kiboplast/3DPrima). My current setup works really fine. I also could print without second cooling faby Treito - Duet
Hello, is there a possibility to use the hardware retraction with Simplify3D? A bug in Version 3.1 showed me that the commands M101/102/103 would be needed for Hardware retraction or am I wrong? Best regards, Svenby Treito - Duet
I am switching my Ormerod 2 to 16teeth GT2 pulleys. The reason is very simple (as I read somewhere): Using 16 teeth pulleys gives me exactly 100 steps per mm or a movement of 0.01mm per step using the standard motors with the Duet. As we use the metric system that is exactly the accuracy of the printer for the x-/y-axis. Using 18 teeth like the original MXL belts you would end up at 88.889 stepsby Treito - Ormerod
Look above. The Duet board allows 16 microsteps per full step.by Treito - Ormerod

I cannot change the language, because it is not offered. If I request the desktop Version everything is fine. Or am I simply blind?by Treito - Ormerod
The Ormerod uses MXL pulleys whith 18 teeth and a pitch distance of 2.032mm. The Duet provides 16 microsteps so you end up with 89.345 steps for 1mm. I am switching my second Ormerod to 16 teeth GT2-belts. This gives me exactly 100 steps per mm. I think this is a great improvement especiall, the MXL profile is not designed for direction changes.by Treito - Ormerod
No this was too far. Sorry, but at least it's not good for yourself. There was maybe a lie, but to post the complete problems with yourselves which nobody can check here if it's true or not isn't the right way. At least the other one wins. , but my English is not good enough for a detailed explanation. Discussion closed.by Treito - Ormerod
Jason I don't think that this is the right place and the right content to publish here. If you have personally problems with him so talk with him and only with him. Your text isn't showing a good behaviour for a sales man and now I don't want to see anything like this here in the misleaded thread. Discussion closed. Chris33 My main problem is not the warping. It's the less stickiness. BuildTak.by Treito - Ormerod

One of my PrintBite was applied with a testing adhesive that failed. The only problem I got was that the PrintBite didn't stick well on the glass anymore and I got air bubbles which began to grow.by Treito - Ormerod
3M 467MP would have been suitable.by Treito - Ormerod
Good luck so you have probably the newer version with better adhesion.by Treito - Ormerod
The Duet board was designed for Cartesian printers and the Ormerod was equipped with this board. It also supports CoreXY and Delta printers as well.by Treito - General
Guilty! I designed this part. First I printed it in PLA, but the screws are getting hot, so it melted. I didn't expected that the screws could get so hot. Normally this part consists of four pieces. I reprinted it in ABS now and will soon test it. But to be honest I think the bed support needs either advanced PLA (melting point somewhere at 140°C) or even better with aluminium. These printer have the same problem like mine: One axis is only guided at one side so you will get vibrations and swinging. These printers aren't a good choice. I often hear that a bq hephostes 2 should be a good choice, but it isn't cheap.by Treito - General
Hello Doug, Jason applied adhesive for me so I ad it to a borosilicate glass. As I bought mine I wasn't sure which ad I could or should use so he sold it including adhesive. The question is: How old is your PrintBite? It is possible that we have different products! Regarding PEI I am skeptical. Especially in Germany often a coating only is offered and that is not very durable. I have no reportsby Treito - Ormerod
I bought it directly at FilaFarm. But this is the German distribution only, but I think you can switch to the inernational. FilaPrint is an own material. Menawhile the company also sells PEI coated stuff. It's interesting to see the differences at their homepage.by Treito - General

Hello, I would like to report my experiences with the FilaPrint-surface after I tested different so called permanent print surfaces. In short words: It's amazing. I have tested several surfaces before, but none was nearly as good as this one. It's a small sort of sheet, partly transparent and the color is some sort of light brown. You have to ad it somewhere. I decided to ad it onto borosilicateby Treito - General
It was a little bit tricky, but they replaced my broken Duet board some time ago.by Treito - Ormerod
Ajax communication error at the web-interface and then I have to reconnect to the printer. The PanelDue isn't connected and it happens with my Ormerod 1 that printer that already had killed two Duet boards. I am afraid that the third one will follow soon.by Treito - Duet

Using Firmware 1.12-dc42 I often get "Ajax Communication errors". Is this a known problem? I tried Firefox with Windows 10 as well as Google Chrome with Android.by Treito - Duet
I exchanged the hotend. Both printers uses the same hotend now. Recently I saw a side effect. I was not able to print PLA filament from one manufacturer because this filament needs advanced cooling. My new hotend doesn't cool the printed parts anymore like the old hotend did. So I needed to add a second fan to be able to print it. With the original hotend it was no problem. Of course there's a riby Treito - Ormerod
